The following story contains discussion of sexual abuse involving minors.
On-screen brothers Josh Peck and Drake Bell of "Drake & Josh" have had a complicated relationship. While the former co-stars reunited on-screen in Peck's sitcom "Grandfathered" in 2016, they hit a rough patch two years later when Peck didn't invite Bell to his wedding, leading Bell to tweet his displeasure.
"When you're not invited to the wedding the message is clear. Loyalty is key. ALWAYS remember where you come from. True colors have come out today. Message is loud and clear. Ties are officially cut. I'll miss you brotha," Bell tweeted. However, he later tried to put out the fire on this burning bridge.
In 2017, Bell told Entertainment Weekly that he'd posted the tweet while "cranky." "We've gone through every up and down that you can think of that two guys can go through," Bell added. "I love the kid." Peck didn't make an official comment on the incident, a habit he kept even when Bell got into much more serious trouble.
On July 12, 2021, Bell was sentenced to two years probation for endangering a minor through grooming and sexual behavior. At the time, Peck did not speak out about the matter, and while it's unclear where his relationship with Bell stands right now, it's not likely to recover the way Bell may have hoped.
