The ‘New Eras’ Tour
Travis Kelce shared on his “New Heights” podcast that he was smitten with Taylor Swift after attending her “New Eras” tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023.
While his attempts to see the pop star backstage and give her a personalized friendship bracelet with his phone number on it failed at the time, the two were soon spotted together.
The Meeting
Although they were not yet official, the media frenzy around Swift and Kelce escalated after the duo was reported to be spending time together in September 2023.
“She saw him when she was in NYC a few weeks ago,” an insider told The Messenger. But at the time, the two seemed to just be getting to know each other.
The Game
No one was more surprised than Swifties when the pop icon was seen cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs while seated next to Kelce’s mother, Donna, later that month.
Kelce admitted on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he had gotten in touch with Swift earlier to see if she could make it to the game. “I threw the ball in her court,” he shared.
Meeting The Family
According to the Daily Mail, Swift met Kelce’s family members and friends at the NFL player’s house for about an hour before heading to the game.
After the game, a source spotted the pair reportedly holding hands at a rooftop restaurant, with Swift later seen sitting on Kelce’s lap.
Swift’s Squad
A week after she was seen seated next to Kelce’s mom, Swift was seen cheering on the Chiefs alongside Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Brittany Mahomes.
The singer also brought along Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, and Sabrina Carpenter. It seems the Swift squad has given their stamp of approval to the new couple.
