The 2018 post shows Mark and Michael side-by-side, causing buzz about the father-son duo's twin-like appearance; Ripa herself even commented, "Son? Is that you??". Michael was dressed as a younger version of his dad's character Hiram Lodge on the set of "Riverdale" — talk about accurate casting.

Michael told ET that it was "so awesome" to work with his dad on "Riverdale": "it was a bucket list moment working with my dad and he's a great person to act opposite […] he's a very giving person". As for his next career move, Michael joked, "the next step would be to not play my dad, I guess."
