Feuding and rapping have gone hand in hand for ages, but one of the biggest feuds in recent memory has been between Drake and Kanye West. They were once friends, but things took a turn when Drake spent New Year’s Eve with West’s ex, Amber Rose.
Originally, Drake had a verse on West’s “All of the Lights,” but it was erased. The former gave the latter a jab while collaborating with Trippie Redd on “Betrayal”, saying “All these fools I'm beefin' that I barely know/ Forty-five, forty-four (burned out), let it go/ Ye ain't changin' s**t for me, it's set in stone."
Although West released his home address online, Drake seemed to be mostly unbothered, but he began stirring the pot when he seemed to allude to sleeping with Kim Kardashian in his song "Wants and Needs." "Yeah, I probably go link to Yeezy, I need me some Jesus," Drake raps on the track, "But as soon as I start confessin' my sins, he wouldn't believe us."
In his 2018 track "In My Feelings," Drake raps about several women he's had sex with, referring to them by initials or nicknames. One of the women he mentions is Kiki, which is Kardashian's family nickname. If he's trying to get under West's skin, he has definitely succeeded.
