Celebrities, Music, Old Hollywood, True Crime
- Michelle has been infatuated with all facets of entertainment since she was a baby stan in the '90s, obsessing over Hanson and begging her parents to let her see "Titanic." (They did.)
- Her pop culture expertise has led to editorial positions at PopCrush, iHeartRadio, and Nicki Swift, as well as bylines on POPSUGAR, Bustle, and many more entertainment and lifestyle outlets.
- She will absolutely destroy you in pop culture trivia.
Experience
Flashlight under her chin, Michelle McGahan was first inspired to become a writer by reading "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" and every "Goosebumps" book in the series. She later turned this passion for writing — and her insatiable appetite for everything pop culture — into a career. (Paid to consume all of her favorite things? Jackpot.) Beginning in 2012 as an editorial intern at TWIST magazine, Michelle has gone on to work as an Associate Editor at PopCrush, and later, as the Editor of iHeartRadio's Snapchat Discover channel (where she would fly out to cover events like the iHeartRadio Music Awards and the iHeartRadio Music Festival). In addition to her current role as an editor at Nicki Swift, Michelle has also written for Bustle, POPSUGAR, Redbook, and more.
Education
Michelle has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Drew University. Her sociological background gives her significant insight into celebrity culture, fandom, and greater social issues. She received her informal education in entertainment via her lifelong stanning and following her favorite bands on tour.
