Experience
Lana is a writer who was born and raised in New York City, where she continues to live today. She's written for Ubisoft, The New Yorker, The Truth (a fiction podcast), Shondaland, InStyle, Hell Gate, Glamour, The Hairpin, Vulture, Alma, Mental Floss, Above Average, The Toast, and has served a a contributor to StarWipe (a vertical of The Onion), The Hard Times, and The Whiskey Journal. She was previously a writer for the sketch teams 17:38 and Deathbird, whose show HINT: A Murder Mystery enjoyed a run at UCB NY in 2017. Her half hour play, Single Dead Female — a take on the true crime boom — ran through the Dream Up Festival in summer 2018 and was selected as a New York Times Critic's Pick. Lana joined Static Media in November 2021 and particularly enjoys writing about pop culture from a humorous perspective.
Education
Lana earned her bachelor's degree from University of Delaware, where she majored in English and minored in History and Sociology. After graduating, she continued her education, studying sketch and improv comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade, The PIT, and the Magnet, and taking writing classes through Catapult, Brooklyn Brainery, Paragraph, and more.
