Billy Bush 'Infuriated' By President Donald Trump's Reported Denial Of Access Hollywood Tape

On Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and spoke out against some of President Donald Trump's recent claims.

During the interview, the 46-year-old discussed the now-infamous 2006 tape in which Trump bragged about grabbing women by their genitals. As a result of the video's unearthing during the 2016 presidential election, NBC fired Bush from his Today show gig. Trump, however, went on to become the 45th president of the United States.

And while Trump had apologized for his comments in the tape, he's since changed his tune, allegedly claiming that the voice on the recording may not have been his own.

But Bush called bull on Trump's reported remarks on the authenticity of the tape. "You can't say that. That is your voice," Bush stated. "I was there. You were there. That's your voice on the tape."

While he commented on how the Access Hollywood tape affected him personally, Bush also discussed how Trump's reported denial could be "reopening wounds" for the women who've accused him of sexual abuse. "All of these women came out with their names and told their detailed accounts," he told host Stephen Colbert. "So, when he said this, it infuriated me on the personal front."

He continued, "20 women don't get together and say: 'You know what would be really fun? Let's take down a powerful guy together, ha ha.' No, they don't." 

Bush, who recently published an op-ed about Trump in The New York Times, added, "Enough's enough. Stop playing around with people's lives."

Going beyond Bush's reaction to Trump's recent claims, Colbert asked his guest what it was like to hear the 2006 tape again, as The Late Show had shown a clip during the interview. "The first time I ever heard it was three days before it leaked," Bush told Colbert. "It was like a gut punch. It's like a gut punch now. It will always be."
