While fans have watched Ben Affleck go through a transformation over the years, which has included becoming a rich celebrity and massive star in the entertainment industry, there is one thing about him that hasn't really changed. That would be the fact that he's pretty darn tall.
In fact, Affleck's size is something that his former co-star, Anna Kendrick, brought up in an interview back in May 2015. While talking to Esquire, she mentioned her own relatively short height — which is 5-foot-2, if you were wondering — and after admitting her relatively tiny stature is something that used to upset her, she also revealed she now feels differently about being on the smaller side. She also noted that having a powerful voice helps her stand out even when her size might not. "I just finished this movie with Ben Affleck, a big guy, and when you listen to the playback of a scene with the two of us and it's his turn to speak, often you can't hear anything. Nothing," she recalled. "Then, like a knife, you hear my voice, and I'm thinking, Oh my God, of the two of us, how can Affleck be the soft-spoken one? How can I sound so shrill?"
Affleck's voice may, indeed, belie his rather towering height. Indeed, while Medical News Today notes the average height of a man in the United States is 5-foot-9, Affleck happens to be much taller.
Ben Affleck stands quite a bit taller than Matt Damon
If you've ever spotted Ben Affleck on the red carpet and thought he looked tall, then you were totally on the mark. The actor is a quarter of an inch over 6-foot-2, according to Celeb Heights. Of course, he might be even taller than that. The star is more in the range of 6-foot-4, per both SheKnows and TVOverMind. Either way, that means he's not only above the average height of a man in the U.S., which is 5-foot-9, but that also makes him taller than Affleck's longtime friend, Matt Damon.
Frankly, the height difference between the two famous figures and friends is something that they are willing to joke about. The two stars did just that in February 2014 when they appeared together in a video to support two charities, the Eastern Congo Initiative and water.org, according to Daily Mail. After going back and forth a few times, Damon teased his friend about who really did more of the writing work when it comes to their Oscar-winning movie, "Good Will Hunting." In return, Affleck responded, "Sure, or we could talk about things that are actually true! Like how incredibly short Matt Damon is!"
If you're curious, Damon is three-quarters of an inch over 5-foot-9, according to Celeb Heights. That means he's a bit over the average height. Of course, he might still seem short to Affleck who stands above others in his life, including his famous wife.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's relationship hasn't exactly been a straightforward love story due to the fact that they ended their first engagement back in 2004 before reuniting years later and marrying in 2022, according to People. However, Lopez doesn't dwell on any time lost between them and is instead focused on her view of both her relationship and her husband. She explained, "I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him."
While that's certainly sweet and the pair are apparently seeing eye-to-eye when it comes to the fact that they're meant to be together — hence the fact that they're married — they don't actually see eye-to-eye when standing in front of each other, even when she wears high heels, which she often (or always?) does on the red carpet. That's because the singer is half an inch over 5-foot-4, which is quite a bit shorter than her husband.
Granted, it's not like there aren't other celeb couples with noticeable height differences. For instance, Kristen Bell is 5-foot-1 while her husband, Dax Shepard, is 6-foot-2, per Marie Claire. That's not to mention Isla Fisher and Elsa Pataky, who are both 5-foot-3, while their husbands, Sacha Baron Cohen and Chris Hemsworth respectively, are 6-foot-3. Clearly, a significant height difference can't stand in the way of love, which is why Affleck and Lopez are surely a perfect match.
