Bob Saget Describes Proposal To Girlfriend Kelly Rizzo

The Full House star is engaged to be married!

After revealing the big news on social media on Nov. 8, 2017, Bob Saget told People magazine just how he popped the question to his 38-year-old girlfriend, Kelly Rizzo. And, apparently, it was quite the casual event. 

"We were watching Stranger Things on the iPad and then I got up to go to the restroom and I opened the safe," the 61-year-old recounted (via Today). "And I took out a ring that I'd been hiding for four days, and I got on one knee and she said, 'What are you doing?' And she got very emotional and so did I."

Of course, Rizzo said yes. 

"I did it and I adore her and she's fantastic," Saget added. "So I'm a very lucky man. This is the beginning of something wonderful."

Bob Saget previously announced his engagement on Instagram by sharing a photo of himself with his new fiancée, talent manager George Shapiro, and Katie Killean at dinner. "Love the people in this picture," he wrote. "In case you're wondering, we were celebrating our engagement— and I know George and I will be very happy together."

Rizzo, a blogger for Eat Travel Rock, commented on the engagement a short time later. "We got engaged last week- a total surprise," she told Us Weekly on Nov. 8. "Though being viral is part of my business, I still try to be fairly private when it concerns our relationship.... But I will say that Bob and I are incredibly lucky to have found each other, and I love all six of his personalities."

Congratulations to Saget and Rizzo!

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Saget's Fuller House co-star John Stamos also recently got engaged. Stamos proposed to his actress-writer girlfriend, Caitlin McHugh, at Disneyland on Oct. 22.
