Jason Momoa Recalls Meeting Wife Lisa Bonet, Calls Himself 'A Full-Fledged Stalker'
The Justice League star's early interest in wife and former The Cosby Show star Lisa Bonet was equal parts creepy and cute.
On Nov. 10, 2017, Jason Momoa appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden and opened up about how he met his other half. When asked if it was love at first sight, Momoa replied, "Listen, it was more than that."
"Ever since I was eight years old and I saw her on a TV, I was like, 'Mommy, I want that one,'" the 38-year-old continued, causing the audience to laugh.
"I'm gonna stalk you for the rest of my life, and I'm gonna get you," the Game of Thrones actor, who now shares two children with Bonet, went on. "I am a full-fledged stalker." Obviously aware of how his behavior might appear, he noted, "I didn't tell her that 'til we had two babies. Otherwise, it'd be creepy. It'd be creepy and weird."
Momoa shared that he eventually met Bonet at a jazz club, adding that they'd "just happened to be at the right place at the right time" and had shared mutual friends. He said they hit it off, and he convinced her to take him back to her home, as he'd been staying at a nearby hotel.
But the moment that really caused Momoa to fall head over heels in love with Bonet was when she ordered his favorite drink at a bar: a Guinness. And if that isn't a sign that two people are meant to be, then, really, what is?
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Momoa and Bonet married in October 2017, after 12 years together. After snagging a marriage license from the Los Angeles County Clerk's office on Oct. 2, the two reportedly got hitched one week later. Momoa later stated that he'd hoped to keep their wedding secret but "some a–hole leaked it" (via People).
