Billy Joel And Wife Alexis Roderick Welcome Second Child

It's a girl!

According to People, Billy Joel and his equestrian wife, Alexis Roderick, welcomed their second daughter, Remy Anne, on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017. Their bundle of joy was born at 7:50 p.m. at New York University Hospital. She weighed in at 7 lbs. and 3 oz.

"Sunday night, Billy and Alexis Joel welcomed Remy Anne into their family," the "Uptown Girl" singer's rep told the publication. "Alexis and Remy are doing well, and everyone is thrilled." Joel's oldest daughter, 31-year-old Alexa Ray Joel, whom he shares with ex-wife Christie Brinkley, was in the delivery room, as well.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, news that Joel, 68, and Roderick, 33, were expecting again first broke during the music icon's interview with The Belfast Telegraph, which was published on Saturday, Oct. 14. "We are due next month," Joel told the paper at the time, while introducing his very pregnant wife. The happy couple have been together since 2009, and already share daughter Della Rose, 2. She was born in August 2015, one month after her parents married in Long Island, N.Y. 

"This one is pretty good," Joel said of their adorable toddler. "She sleeps through the night. I hope the next one will."
