Is Emma Roberts Still Close With Her Scream Queens Co-Stars?

Ryan Murphy's "Scream Queens" was filled with blood, gore, and a host of interesting characters. The show, which premiered in 2015, starred Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Lea Michele, Billie Lourd, and Keke Palmer. Roberts led the ensemble cast — which also included Jamie Lee Curtis — as Chanel. Murphy described the character as "funny and very ruthless," revealing to Entertainment Weekly that the role was written for Roberts.

"Emma Roberts is Chanel, who's the president of Kappa Sorority," he told the outlet in 2015. "I love Emma. It was written for her. She's super funny."

And while the show only aired for two seasons, Roberts seemed to have formed a close relationship with her cast mates during that time, as was apparent in their hilarious group interviews. Yet, while the Fox series has since ended, some may be wondering if that also meant an end to Roberts' friendships with her co-stars, which couldn't be further from the truth.

Emma Roberts gushes over Lea Michelle

Emma Roberts' life following the end of "Scream Queens" has been eventful, to say the least. She began dating actor Garrett Hedlund in 2019, but split from the "Friday Night Lights" star after nearly three years together. However, during their time together, the pair welcomed a son, Rhodes. Roberts revealed to Jess Cagle, her friend Lea Michele provided "support" during her pregnancy, as Michele was also pregnant at the time.

"It's been really amazing to have support being pregnant during this time and to have it be people I'm so close to," Roberts said of her former co-star. "It's been amazing. We couldn't have planned it better, honestly."

Roberts also attended Michele's engagement party in 2019, and posed for pictures alongside "Scream Queens" alum Billie Lourd (via Teen Vogue). Michele captioned the selfie, "Kappa forever," referencing their time on the comedy-horror series. Ultimately, it looks like Roberts has maintained a close relationship with some of her cast mates — and she also appears to be open to an even bigger reunion.

Emma Roberts wouldn't mind reprising her Scream Queens role

Emma Robert recently revealed that she would be more than willing to reunite with her "Scream Queens" co-stars for a third installment of the series. When asked about the show's influence on platforms like TikTok, Roberts said that she's "always thinking" of ways to reprise her role.

"I'm always thinking about ways we can bring Chanel back to the screen," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I feel like I'm ready to have her rise again, but it's not up to me. It's funny because that show is now so long ago and I still see things coming up on my Instagram of people just kind of like loving it and doing TikToks and all that and it just makes me so happy that she's really stood the test of time."

Lea Michele has also expressed interest in rebooting the show. "I want to go back so bad," she said during an appearance on "Strahan, Sara and Keke." In response, Keke Palmer echoed Michele's sentiments, saying she'd also be down for a "Scream Queens" reunion.
