Kit Harington Reveals Proposal To Rose Leslie Didn't Go As Planned

The Game of Thrones actor just opened up about his engagement to his former co-star.

Appearing on British talk show The Jonathan Ross Show, Kit Harington explained to host Jonathan Ross how he proposed to actress Rose Leslie, and, he said, things didn't exactly go according to plan (via Us Weekly).

"I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff..." Harington began. "But we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine..."

And, obviously, Harington just couldn't stop himself from proposing on the spot.

"I was meant to do it the day after with the lights," Harington, 30, went on, noting, "I popped my question a bit early."

But, of course, Harington's spur-of-the-moment proposal still snagged him a "yes" from Leslie.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, news of Harington and Leslie's engagement broke in late September. The two later confirmed their engagement in a British newspaper's "Forthcoming Marriages" section. "Mr. K.C. Harington and Miss R.E. Leslie," the post read (via Us Weekly). "The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire."
