Vanessa Lachey Reportedly 'Bickering' With DWTS Partner Maks Chmerkovskiy

It doesn't sound like Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are getting along too well as partners on the hit ABC dancing competition show. After Chmerkovskiy was notably absent during Lachey's big dance on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017—reportedly due to a "personal issue"—a source told People that Chmerkovskiy, 37, had actually been experiencing "a big chemistry issue" with Lachey, 36.

"They both have big personalities and that's not always the best recipe for a good partnership," the insider continued. Noting that the two had been fighting, the source said, "I wouldn't be surprised if Maks doesn't return as her partner for the rest of the season."

A source told E! News that the pair just "can't find middle ground."

However, People has since confirmed that Chmerkovskiy will return to the dance floor with his partner for their next scheduled performance. Still, another source told the magazine that the two still aren't playing nice. Regarding Chmerkovskiy's absence from their week three dance, the source said, "They've been bickering since week one and he finally just had enough of it."
