How Long Were Christina Hall And Ant Anstead Married?
Fans were first introduced to Christina Hall in 2013 when her HGTV reality show, "Flip or Flop" premiered. On the show, Christina appeared alongside her then-husband, Tarek El Moussa, documenting their lives as home renovators and of course, husband and wife. Sadly, the pair would later divorce in 2016, and after ten seasons, "Flip or Flop" came to an end in March.
These days, Christina is busy doting on her kids and reeling in the warmth of love with her new husband, Joshua Hall. Christina started dating Joshua in 2021, following their first time meeting years earlier at a real estate conference, per Us Weekly. A few months into their relationship, Joshua turned things up a notch when he popped the big question.
In April, Josh and Christina became husband and wife after getting married in a private ceremony, per E! News. Today, Christina is still head over heels with Joshua and it is almost easy to forget that only a few months before he came into the picture, she was getting divorced from her second husband, Ant Anstead.
Christina Hall and Ant Anstead weren't together long
Though they initially kept it out of the spotlight, Christina Hall and Ant Anstead's love story started in 2017. "A year ago today [Ant Anstead] called me for the first time," she wrote on Instagram in celebration of their one year anniversary in October 2018, via Entertainment Tonight. "Two days later we met for the first time and we've been inseparable ever since."
After months of dating, Hall and Anstead went public with their relationship in January 2018, and for the rest of that year, the couple continued to give fans a glimpse of their love on social media. "He has already grounded me in so many ways and I'm so grateful for him," Hall wrote (via Popculture) in a heartfelt Instagram tribute to Anstead on his birthday.
In December 2018, a few months after making their romance public, Anstead and Hall tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony. "We pulled off the perfect surprise wedding," Hall gushed to People. "Seeing the happy tears of friends and family was priceless." Nine months after they said "I do," the pair welcomed a son together, Hudson London. Sadly, only one year after Hudson's birth, and after less than two years of marriage, Anstead and Hall called it quits. "Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate," Hall wrote in a since-deleted announcement, via People. "We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority."
Christina Hall and Ant Anstead are caught in a messy custody battle
Christina Hall and Ant Anstead's short marriage was definitely good while it lasted, but the aftermath? Not so much. In April, Anstead spoke out against Hall and their initial agreement to share joint custody of their son, Hudson London. In court documents obtained by TMZ, Anstead accused Hall of bad parenting, alleging that the "Flip or Flop" star put their son at medical risk and uses him as a pawn for her social media influencing job. Anstead also cited an instance in January, when Hall dropped off Hudson without revealing he had been in contact with people who tested positive to COVID-19.
Responding to Anstead's claims, Hall defended her parenting skills, telling Us Weekly that in spite of her faults and flaws, she is a good mother to her kids. "What Ant is doing deeply saddens me," the reality star told the outlet. "If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested."
Though Anstead's request for full custody was denied due to lack of sufficient evidence, he is set to appear alongside Hall for a mediation session on June 15 and a court hearing on June 28, per Yahoo. Between now and then, we can only keep our fingers crossed that these two will try to keep things as cordial as possible!
