The Truth About Ray Liotta's Fiancee Jacy Nittolo
Ray Liotta tragically died on May 26 while in the Dominican Republic working on a movie. He was survived by his daughter Karsen Liotta, and his fiancee Jacy Nittolo, per Deadline. The "Goodfellas" star's daughter was from his seven-year marriage to Michelle Grace that ended in 2004. Although that was Liotta's only marriage, he was set to marry Nittolo before his untimely death.
The couple was spotted exchanging heavy PDA in January 2020. Photographers captured Liotta planting several giant kisses on his then-girlfriend while the pair hung out in Malibu, per the Daily Mail. By the end of that year, the "Marriage Story" actor popped the question. "Christmas wishes do come true. I asked the love of my life to marry me, and thank God she said yes!!!" Liotta wrote on Instagram in December 2020, alongside a photo of the engaged couple posing in front of a Christmas tree. Nittolo reposted that lovely snap to her own Instagram account. The prolific actor did not post much on social media, and the last photo he uploaded to Instagram of his fiancee was in August 2021, which was a black-and-white shot wrapping his arms around Nittolo.
The children from Liotta and Nittolo's previous marriages played an integral part in not only their lives, but in starting their relationship.
How Ray Liotta and Jacy Nittolo met
Before dating Ray Liotta, Jacy Nittolo was married to Hollywood producer Joey Nittolo, and the couple divorced in 2017. Nittolo has four children — per her Instagram — and it turned out that one of them was responsible for her meeting Liotta.
"The Many Saints of Newark" actor revealed on "Live With Kelly and Ryan" in September 2021 that his daughter and Nittolo's son played matchmaker for their single parents after meeting at a party. "I want you to go out with my dad. I think you'd be perfect for my dad," Liotta recalled his daughter telling Nittolo. The single mom had reservations because of their age difference and his career as an actor, and Liotta had trepidations because of Nittolo's youngest child. "The buzzkill for me was she also had a 10-year-old. When you're in your 60s, the last thing you want is a 10-year-old," the "Cop Land" star said. Fortunately, Liotta got along with his future fiancee's children. "Luckily this kid is very cool," he added.
Even though they were not able to walk down the aisle together, the relationship between Liotta and Nittolo appeared strong until the end. Just days before his death, the Hollywood veteran was spotted out in Los Angeles with his fiancee, per The U.S. Sun. The couple held hands while walking together, and there was a giant smile across Nittolo's face.
