Vanderpump Rules Season 10 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far
As the "Vanderpump Rules" reality star Scheana Shay once so astutely pointed out, "It's all happening"... or is it?
Dedicated "VPR" stans remember exactly where they were the moment they were watching Bravo's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and then bam! Thanks to some superior editing skills and savviness on Bravo's part, suddenly they were engrossed in the lives of young 20-something servers SURvers who were trying to make it big in Hollywood... and pay their rent on time each month. Definitely, a far cry from the aspirational wealth viewers was used to observing on "RHOBH," and yet they became infatuated with the new show's cast members all the same. What started out as a humble spin-off with an uncertain future became an instant success!
Fast forward to nine seasons later and some might argue that the reality series has lost its magic. The show's core group of young aspiring actors, models, singers, and musicians have fled their service industry jobs at Lisa Vanderpump's various establishments, put down stakes in the land of suburbia and white modern farmhouses, and even started creating families of their own. But could a Season 10 be in the works after all? Here's what we can tell fans so far!
When will Vanderpump Rules Season 10 air?
Unfortunately, the powers that be at Bravo have yet to give fans a concrete premiere date for a Season 10 of "Vanderpump Rules." Still, some "VPR" OG's seem relatively confident that the show will go on!
"I haven't heard anything [about] not coming back, so that's a good sign," cast member Katie Maloney told Us Weekly in April 2022. "I think [they're] kind of figuring stuff out. Hopefully, we'll hear something soon." She added, "I think given how different all of our lives are at this point, it would make for a really interesting season coming up." Meanwhile, new mother-of-one Lala Kent also appeared hopeful that the show would return while appearing on Access Hollywood's "Housewives Nightcap." "We hope so. We are in the dark just as much as everybody else. The cast, we literally find out like a week, maybe two before we start. They're like, 'By the way, we're picking up cameras.'" From their mouths to Bravo's ears!
Who will be featured on Vanderpump Rules Season 10?
The times. They are a-changin' — and perhaps the cast of "Vanderpump Rules" is too.
While the drama on Season 9 of "Vanderpump Rules" was playing out on television for fans to enjoy, even bigger drama was unfolding in real-time. As you may recall, Lala Kent split from her fiancé and father of her only child, Randall Emmett, amid rampant infidelity rumors. James Kennedy and Raquell Leviss announced that they had called off their engagement and were going separate ways... all while the reunion cameras unfolded. And in what might be the most shocking "Vanderpump Rules" upset, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz announced that they were separating. "After 12 years on an adventure through our life together, Tom and I are ending our marriage," Maloney penned in a bombshell Instagram post. "This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no sides to choose. We have deep admiration for one another that will always remain and cherish our friendship." Concurrently, Schwartz penned his own statement that read in part, "I'm not the victim. Not gonna write too sad a song. Fully respect Katie's decision and we've had healthy, productive conversations about it. It would be far sadder if she decided to stay with me whilst not happy." Yikes. As the viral meme says, "I need Andy [Cohen] and a camera," STAT.
But what about a Vanderpump Rules spin-off?
Alas, the "Vanderpump Rules" cast aren't exactly strangers to major cast shake-ups.
As you may recall, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were let go in June 2020 after it came to light that they attempted to file a false police report on former castmate, Faith Stowers, per E! News. But that's not all — Jax Taylor was also given a pink slip from the reality show for his part in accusing Stowers of crimes on Twitter, according to Variety.
But now, in her brand new tell-all aptly titled "Off with My Head: The Definitive Basic B*tch Handbook to Surviving Rock Bottom," Schroeder is mentioning it all — including the little-known fact that prior to her firing, there was talk of a "Vanderpump Rules" spin-off. "The 'Vanderpump' spinoff was supposed to be bridged by an episode about my gorgeous, Italian wedding, which would then introduce the new show. Surprise! We were all so looking forward to that," she penned in the confines of the book (via Us Weekly). "At first, we thought the spinoff would still go ahead with some sort of focus on the canceling and the journeys to educate ourselves," she added. Perhaps, however, a spin-off is still not completely off the table, after all. Stranger things have happened — especially while the reality television cameras are rolling. Stay tuned, we suppose.
