In April 2022, TMZ shared the news that, at some point, the two got married in a very under-the-radar ceremony. The outlet discovered the news after checking her real estate license and finding that she had changed her last name to Hall. Shortly after, the HGTV star also changed her name on Instagram, and it's clear she's delighted about finding love again. As she wrote in one Instagram post, "Prayed for a man who was all man but still treated me like his queen. Never give up."

Christina Hall actually wanted to get into the sports world long before, you know, getting into real estate and becoming a reality star. "I never thought about being on tv. I wanted to be a sports agent like Jerry Maguire," she wrote on Instagram in September 2020.

When she was at San Diego State University, however, Hall pivoted to a new career path. "But I always loved looking at houses with my parents especially model homes and I always wanted to be my own boss," she went on. "So in college when I was called (intuitively) to get my real estate license at a local community college I followed my intuition. I got started in real estate at 21 which led to selling houses which led to flipping houses which led to Tv."

Real estate led Hall to her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, when they were both working at Prudential as real estate agents, according to Good Housekeeping. She was 22 and he was 24, and they didn't start dating right away because El Moussa was dating someone else at the time. It took some time for their availability to align. And when it did, they joined forces. "The day Tarek and I officially started dating, which was October 9, 2006, we moved in together," Hall said. Clearly, their connection was strong at the start. 

Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa's career path wouldn't be interesting without some bumps and unexpected hurdles. While they were working hard and had endless dreams, the real estate market took a bad turn in 2008 that flipped the couple on their heads. According to Good Housekeeping, they had to sell their home in Anaheim Hills, California, and ended up splitting an apartment with a roommate. At the time, Hall was pregnant with their first child. So she and El Moussa juggled stressful finances, a pending family, and work. El Moussa continued hustling as an agent while Hall took a job at Cintas.

Per Realtor, in the wake of the housing crash, El Moussa and Hall capitalized on the influx of vacated homes and got into the world of flipping. As Hall said in Good Housekeeping, they had a dream board in their real estate office that included things like a house with a pool and big-ticket items like a private jet. "The weird part is, by the time I turned 31, we had all of it," Hall said. But they had to get creative to make this dream board come to reality.

During the housing crash, Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall recognized it was a buyer's market. So, they bought house in Orange County and got to renovating. According to Realtor, they ended up bringing in over $30,000 in profit after flipping their first place. This was all it took to get the ball rolling.

Later, at a conference, they met another agent who told them about a show called "House Flipping" that was looking for people, according to Good Housekeeping. Using a friend's camera, El Moussa and Hall began filming their next project without getting their hopes up. "I just remember driving to an auction and thinking there's just no way this is really going to happen," Hall recalled. "Then, all of the sudden, HGTV wanted a pilot [later named 'Flip or Flop'], and the pilot got picked up and it was a series, overnight."

To find places to work on, El Moussa keep tabs on homes in the area that were up for auction, according to The Orange County Register. "I'll buy any house, any condition (and) any location as long as I can get it at the right price," El Moussa said. Needless to say, to make their TV show happen, they had to do a lot of work behind the scenes. 

Despite the fact that "Flip or Flop" stars Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall divorced in 2016, they decided to continue working together on the series as business partners. Interestingly, the collaboration worked well; the two were real estate colleagues before they were romantic partners, so keeping the business aspect going wasn't a huge stretch. In an interview with HGTV in 2014, Hall explained, "We met at a real estate office so we started our relationship working together." She continued, "Tarek impresses me everyday with his work ethic. It's just insane." 

Hall stressed this again with Good Housekeeping, noting that once they put the drama of the dissolution of their marriage behind them, they were able to give more of their energy to their hit show. Things improved because they weren't spending their down time together after a full day of filming. "We met at work, and we actually probably get along best at work," Hall explained. "He handles the business side, whereas I do better with the decorating side — we just have that dynamic together."

Their positive professional relationship was essential because the series was simply too popular to give up. It frequently hit top ratings for HGTV with record numbers of viewership. They did end up wrapping the series six years later, announcing the end of "Flip or Flop" in March 2022, per People, but they definitely proved that two exes can make a successful business continue to thrive.

After "Flip or Flop" drew to a close, Christina Hall wasn't done with the world of reality TV. She decided to go solo with HGTV, starring in "Christina on the Coast." It came as no surprise that the show continued to get renewed, all the way up to its fourth season, but when Hall's marriage to Anstead ended, she felt it was time to go in a different direction. She shared about the end of her marriage on Season 4: "Ever since Ant moved out — it's been crazy, but I know it's for the best." And this meant time for a change again.

Not only did Christina Hall bring in her marriage to Ant Anstead to "Christina on the Coast," but she also incorporated her best friend, Cassie Zebisch. The two women have been pals since they were teenagers, according to HGTV, and Zebisch actually became Hall's publicist, so the two are very comfortable combining friendship and business. In light of this, it made sense that Hall kicked off "Christina on the Coast" by redesigning Zebisch's home.

In fact, the home previously belonged to Zebisch's mother, who moved into a retirement home, leaving her daughter with the run of the place. Hall jumped in to help and the design went so well that they decided to use it for the first episode of "Christina on the Coast." Hall explained, according to the New York Post, "We were filming a few shows at the same time but everyone just loved [the show with Cassie] so we decided to make it the first episode." She went on: "It's getting to see another side of me, too, since we've known each other so long. It's a whole different dynamic. I don't think there's more pressure [because Cassie is a friend]; I definitely wanted her to be happy and love it, and I could tell her exactly what I felt." 

Shockingly though, Zebisch had to pay for the renovations herself. "I wish it was free," she told House Beautiful, noting she had no regrets when it came to the final product.

Christina Hall doesn't just make her money from her success on HGTV. She's also capitalized on her expertise when it comes to design and interior spaces. She launched Christina Collection Flooring, offering 21 different looks with the promise of durability, including either hand-brushed hardwood and waterproof luxury vinyl.

But that wasn't all that Hall launched for home design. She also collaborated with Spectra Home to create a specific brand called Christina @ Home. Clearly, she's used to high-traffic homes filled with kids and pets; her ongoing philosophy is that design should be beautiful but also functional. The functionality of Hall's designs call back to who she is as a person. In a chat with Good Housekeeping, she commented on the misconceptions she's faced, especially about being high maintenance. "I think most people see me as a glamorous type of person, and at the end of the day, I'm more just a low-key mom," she explained. Hall also spoke about her time on "Flip or Flop" with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and how she was frequently portrayed as the extravagant one while he was down to earth, but this was far from the truth. "We definitely have the same taste as far as wanting nice things because we work hard, so if you're going to say it, at least say 'both of them.' Don't just label me," Hall pushed back.

In response to some of her own health struggles, Christina Hall decided to co-write the book "The Wellness Remodel: A Guide to Rebooting How You Eat, Move, and Feed Your Soul" along with nutritionist Cara Clark. In the book, Hall said that she was dealing with fatigue and anxiety, only to discover that she had some untreated health concerns.

"I ... later found out that my symptoms were actually the result of two autoimmune disorders, Hashimoto's disease and polycystic ovary syndrome," Hall shares in "The Wellness Remodel." She and Clark offer recipes, and also dig into diet and lifestyle. "I don't eat fast food, I don't eat fried food, and I eat tons of fruits and vegetables," Hall writes (via Parade). "I eat healthy salads and nut butters. I don't eat anything processed."

The book got mixed reviews from readers on GoodReads. "I liked the simple health advice and recipes," one reader wrote. "As far as celebrity wellness books go this is better than most." Another delighted fan shared, "After reading this book, I am very motivated to improve myself and listen to my body. After some health issues the last five years I have learned to listen to my body better and this book really hit home." That said, at least one reader wasn't into some sides of Hall's wellness rituals. "A pretty book, but a little woo woo for me (sage cleansing and crystals anyone?)," they posted. Hey, you can't win 'em all.

Real estate has always been important to Christina Hall, both in terms of her business but also when it comes to her personal space. Her first house of note was shared with then-husband Tarek El Moussa in Yorba Linda, California. Per People, the mammoth house took the couple two years to renovate it to their liking. Despite all this work, when the couple divorced in 2016, they sold the property for just under $3 million, per House Beautiful.

When Hall married Ant Anstead, the pair moved into an enormous Newport Beach home, per People. In June 2021, Hall sold the home for $5.35 million. She went on to purchase a spot in Dana Point, California, for $10.3 million, per the New York Post. However, after finding love with Joshua Hall, she sold it in April 2022 and made a little over $1 million in profit. 

Right before she purchased her home in Dana Point, Hall also purchased a massive farmhouse in Tennessee in May 2021. As she told People, she decided to head to the Volunteer State after friend/coauthor Cara Clark moved there. The change was deeply significant for Hall. As she wrote on Instagram in October 2021, "As I sit here in Tennessee I feel super grateful for where life has taken me. I love that we have a home where we get total peace in the woods where it's just us doing our thing." A rep for Hall told People that the Tennessee abode is not her primary house.

Christina Hall and Ant Anstead married without giving any hints to their friends. After beginning their relationship in October 2017, they sprung a ceremony on their nearest and dearest at their Newport Beach home in December 2018. "We pulled off the perfect surprise wedding," Hall told People. "Seeing the happy tears of friends and family was priceless."

Equally as surprising, Hall and Anstead called it quits in September 2020. An insider told Us Weekly that members of their inner circle apparently didn't see it coming. "Christina and Ant have been very private about this," they said. "Friends are shocked to hear the news because they seemed happy together publicly and while in front of others."

Their shocking split also meant a division of the assets. As TMZ noted, Hall kept a bunch of real estate, her wedding ring, and some luxury cars. Anstead for his part kept an even bigger retinue of super fancy vehicles — which checks out, given that he became famous as a TV personality on the show "For the Love of Cars" and later on "Wheeler Dealers." Anstead also left the marriage with total ownership of his business, which included a production company. Clearly, the relationship ended car-heavy for Anstead.

With such a successful career and so many projects on the go, it makes sense that Christina Hall likes to splurge every now and then. Funny enough, the expression "Champagne taste" came up in her divorce from Tarek El Moussa, when, on the day of her split, she was photographed wearing a shirt that read, "Pink Champagne, Can't Complain!"

"Ironically, right before that, someone had alerted the media that I had 'champagne taste' and Tarek was a 'beer can kind of guy,'" Hall told Good Housekeeping. Hall was speaking about an article published by People in 2016 that addressed her and El Moussa's incompatibility. In the aforementioned Good Housekeeping interview, she pushed back on this assessment, pointing out that they had both work hard and both like the payoff. 

That said, Hall certainly does like the finer things. Shortly after her divorce from second husband Ant Anstead, Hall shared in a since-deleted post on Instagram (via People) that she bought a yacht and named it "Aftermath." Nothing subtle or spendthrift about that move: The Prestige 520 rings in at a base cost of $970,000, per Yachting, and only goes up from there depending on how many bells and whistles a gal wants.

Christina Hall has dreams of opening up a center to combat the stressors and fatigue of everyday life. On the first episode of her show "Christina: Stronger by Design," which premiered in January 2021, she said (via Yahoo!): "I really want to open up a wellness center by this time next year. Like start it, buy it... like a piece of land in Utah." She went on to add, "I feel like that's calling to me."

Hall's interest in starting a wellness center aligns perfectly with the messages she shares not only on her shows but also on her social media platforms and in her book. "I've suffered on and off since 2016 with extreme stomach pain," she shared on Instagram in October 2021. Hall went on to share that she didn't have luck with the medications she was prescribed, noting that her autoimmune disease and anxiety took a huge toll on gut health. "I've talked to a lot of people about this and just want to advocate how important it is to trust your own health instincts and not ignore things going on in your body," she wrote. Obviously, Hall takes mind-body connection seriously, and a wellness center is certainly up her alley.

With the end of "Flip or Flop," Christina Hall embarked on new TV ventures. In January 2021, she premiered "Christina: Stronger by Design" with Discovery+ to chronicle her wellness journey rather than design, per People, though, of course, a little design slips in there. But this isn't all that Hall is continuing with. In March 2022, she announced on Instagram that HGTV picked up more episodes for "Christina on the Coast." "I'm super excited to get back to work and show you all the amazing renovations we have lined up!" she wrote.

Shortly after, she shared a photo to Instagram of the first week of filming "Christina on the Coast" with the whole team, including husband Joshua Hall. In the caption, Hall announced that she and her husband were beginning yet another new chapter. "Having my own production company to produce what I want has always been a huge dream! I love that I have the most hard working / creative partner in Josh and we have this amazing team to create content with," she added. She also shared in IG that she's got "Christina In the Country," a show about her time in Tennessee, in the works. 

Hall certainly has mastered the art of bringing beauty into the world and sharing that journey with her partners, all while making a buck. Honestly, it's a joy to watch.
