Lady Gaga Reportedly Taking A Break From Music
The Mother Monster won't be making new music anytime soon.
Billboard reports that Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Joanne Germanotta) is planning on taking a "rest" from music in order to "slow down for a moment for some healing."
Speaking with reporters at the Toronto premiere of her Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, the 31-year-old singer, opened up about her chronic pain, stating (via The Hollywood Reporter), "It's okay... It's hard. But it's liberating too."
But don't think that Gaga won't be keeping busy. "It doesn't mean I won't be creating. It doesn't mean I don't have some things up my sleeve," Gaga explained.
No word yet on just how long Gaga's break from the recording studio will be.
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Gaga teased her upcoming documentary in late August, sharing clips from the film on Instagram. And, according to the videos, it appears that Gaga's had an emotional couple of months.
Gaga: Five Foot Two premieres on Netflix on Friday, Sept. 22.
While we wait for the film's release, read up on the rise, fall, and resurgence of Gaga.
