Disney Announces Cast Of Mickey Mouse Club Reboot
Meet the newest Disney stars!
On Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, Disney announced the cast of their much-anticipated Mickey Mouse Club reboot, Club Mickey Mouse. And, from just one look at the promo video, it's clear that these kids have got some serious talent.
The eight teenagers, aged 15 to 18 years old, who have joined the rebranded series are Regan Aliyah, Jenna Alvarez, Ky Baldwin, Gabe De Guzman, Leanne Tessa Langston, Brianna Mazzola, Sean Oliu, and Will Simmons.
YouTube stars Alisha Marie and Toddrick Hall, who you may recognize from Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" music video, will also appear on the show as mentors to the young stars who boast everything from impressive rapping and singing abilities to amazing dance skills.
And, in fashion with today's changing times, the new Mouseketeers are all social media influencers. Remember, it's 2017, y'all. As such, the teens will share their time on Club Mickey Mouse via the show's Instagram and Facebook accounts, posting Boomerangs and filming live videos. In fact, the show won't even be on TV at all—it's only available on Facebook.
As USA Today notes, these kids are the first to make up a new class of Mouseketeers since The Mickey Mouse Club ended in the 90s. Back then, the cast featured a whole crew of future A-listers, including a young Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling.
While we wait for Club Mickey Mouse's theme song to drop on Sept. 12, 2017, learn all about what some of Disney's past stars are up to today.
