Zendaya Shares Valuable Dating Advice With Fans
Zendaya—singer, actress, relationship guru?
In a new video on the Spiderman: Homecoming star's website, Zendaya (full name Zendaya Coleman) answered some of her fans' questions and shared some sage wisdom that's way beyond what we'd expect to hear from a 20-year-old.
In response to a fan's comment that "all men are dogs," Zendaya urged listeners to not "categorize an entire type of person because of something that happened to you once."
Admitting that she's been cheated on before, the actress advised fans to "follow your gut," explaining that if you feel like your boyfriend or girlfriend is cheating on you, it's "probably happening."
Zendaya also blasted the idea of entering a serious relationship at a young age. "I'm so anti being in a committed relationship when you're young and people are learning and growing, because when people are young they make bad decisions sometimes because they don't know any better," she said. "It doesn't mean they don't know the difference between right and wrong, it just means that they're still in the experimental phase in their life where they haven't made the right decisions yet."
She added, "Something I learned is it's very hard to be in a relationship when the both of you are still figuring out life. You cannot change anybody. You cannot make someone grow up faster than they're supposed to."
Zendaya also fueled rumors that she and co-star Tom Holland are in a relationship, saying that she "just recently got courage enough to be like 'listen, I like you, are we doing this?'"
While the Disney Channel star could be talking about anyone, we have our fingers crossed that she and Holland have found love—despite her previous denial of such rumors.
