90 Day Fiance: Inside Danielle And Mohamed's Messy Divorce
While some may say opposites attract, "90 Day Fiancé" stars Danielle Mullins and Mohamed Jbali threw that argument for love out the window after their tumultuous relationship was showcased on the second season of the franchise. After meeting in a chatroom online, the two seemed to hit it off — that is, at least online. Once Mohamed arrived in the United States on his K-1 fiancé visa, however, things got off to a rocky start.
For example, Mohamed was standoffish and didn't even embrace his bride-to-be at the airport, per ScreenRant. From there, things only continued on a downward slope for Danielle and Mohamed. During their engagement, Mohamed found out Danielle had significant financial issues she kept from him, and the two consistently struggled with communication issues and seeing eye to eye.
Yet, despite the struggles, the two ended up marrying in a private ceremony with Danielle's closest family and friends. It didn't take long for those around them to notice trouble in paradise — as Mohamed wouldn't kiss Danielle on their wedding day. Despite Mohamed citing the lack of intimacy at their wedding due to his faith, family and friends still thought something wasn't adding up in their relationship.
Danielle and Mohamed lived not-so-happily ever after
Danielle Mullins and Mohamed Jbali had "90 Day Fiancé" fans hooked on their love story — even if the two weren't hooked on each other. Following their time on the traditional "90 Day" series, the couple joined the spin-off "90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?" for two seasons. Yet, Danielle and Mohamed certainly didn't live happily ever after.
During their time on the spin-off, Danielle accused Mohamed of cheating after he was chatting online with other women. After discovering Mohamed wasn't faithful to her, Danielle was convinced that he only used her for a green card. "Mohamed not sleeping with me is proof that he was not here for the right reasons and that he was getting sex from someone else," Danielle explained in a confessional on "90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?"
After concluding that Mohamed used her to get the United States, Danielle attempted to annul her marriage in order to have him deported.
Where do Danielle and Mohamed stand today?
While Danielle Mullins wanted to annul her marriage to Mohamed Jbali to deport him back to his home country of Tunisia, she ultimately settled on divorce after not presenting a strong enough case. "In the eyes of the court, our marriage just didn't work," Danielle tearfully explained in her confessional on "90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?" "Just because I did not prove that he committed fraud does not mean he did not commit it." Despite their marriage officially ending, that was not the end of these two and their relationship.
Following the divorce, the two have gone their separate ways but have maintained a sense of cordialness after a long chapter of hostility. In early 2021, the two would ultimately reunite for a friendly chat — detailed in an episode of "90 Day: The Single Life" — after three years away from each other. Mohamed has since moved and lived in multiple different cities such as Chicago, Austin, and Miami while working as a truck driver, per ScreenRant. Danielle also worked to move on from her relationship with Mohamed — going back to school and becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
When announcing the news of her graduation on Instagram, Mohamed commented (via ScreenRant) "Congratulations... you are on the right path and you deserve happiness. You have my support as always" — possibly signifying a new olive branch in their relationship.
