Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington Dead At 41
The lead singer of Linkin Park has committed suicide, TMZ reports.
Police sources told TMZ that Chester Bennington reportedly hanged himself in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County. Bennington's body was discovered around 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017. He was 41 years old.
According to the celeb gossip site, Bennington suffered from drug and alcohol addiction throughout his life and had previously contemplated suicide after being abused by an older man.
Bennington was reportedly good friends with Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, who committed suicide on May 17 at 52 years old. July 20 would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday.
Bennington is survived by six children from two marriages.
