DWTS Pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Peta Murgatroyd Marry
Congratulations are in order for Dancing With the Stars vets Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd!
According to Entertainment Tonight, the pro dancer couple tied the knot at Long Island's Oheka Castle on Saturday, July 8, 2017.
Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd's 5-month-old son, Shai, acted as "Prince of Honor" during the ceremony (whatever that means), while Val Chmerkovskiy, Sharna Burgess, Rumer Willis and Tony Dovolani stood beside the couple as part of their bridal party. Notable celeb guests included DWTS dancers and contestants Keo Motsepe, Alan Bersten, Candace Cameron Bure and Nyle DiMarco.
ET notes that the wedding celebration occurred over a three-day period, with the couple organizing a Shabbat dinner the night before their big day and a brunch the morning after.
After getting married, Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroid, who had dated on and off since 2012, reportedly walked back down the aisle to Rihanna and Calvin Harris' song "We Found Love" and later danced to an acoustic version of the song at the reception for their first dance together as husband and wife.
Murgatroyd, who wore two custom Karen Sabag Couture dresses on her big day, previously opened up to People about her wedding. "I can't speak for every girl, but when you first step onto that runway and see the love of your life at the end of the path waiting for you, I think that's going to be a moment that I've always waited for — just to see his face," the 30-year-old said. "I've always wanted to get married — and only get married once — so this is really special moment for me."
Congrats to the newlyweds!
