Michelle Branch Engaged To Black Keys' Patrick Carney

The "Everywhere" singer is engaged!

Michelle Branch shared the good news on Instagram, revealing that her boyfriend, Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, proposed on her birthday. Posting a photo of her gorgeous new ring, Branch wrote, "Thank you for all the birthday love and wishes. Last night, right before I blew out my candles, @officerpatrickcarney asked me to marry him and then I had nothing left to wish for."

She added, "34 might be the best year yet." 

According to E! News, Branch and Carney, 37, met back in February 2015 at a Grammys party in Los Angeles. Soon after, they began working together on Branch's album Hopeless Romantic and apparently fell in love after spending all that time together. Speaking about her record in April 2017, Branch, who was previously married to her bassist Teddy Landau for 11 years, told People, "There's songs on the record from the moment I realized I was gonna get divorced to the moment I fell in love with Patrick."

Branch shares an 11-year-old daughter with her ex-husband, whom she divorced in 2015. Carney's also been married before—twice. He called it quits with his second wife, Emily Ward, in January 2016.

Congratulations to Branch and Carney! We can't wait for their big day!
