Vicki Gunvalson's Ex Fiance Shares Startling News Three Months After Ending Engagement
Vicki Gunvalson has been sharing her life with viewers since 2006 on Bravo's "Real Housewives of Orange County." While the "OG of the OC," as she has been dubbed, hasn't been stirring up drama on camera since she left the show after Season 14, she dealt with a breakup from her fiance of two years, Steve Lodge.
While their September 2020 breakup appeared cordial at first, Vicki's longtime co-star/BFF Tamra Judge shared an Instagram post revealing otherwise. "GET OUT OF BED @vickigunvalson and let's go whoop it up," Tamra wrote. "I hate to see you sad he isn't worth it girl. Especially what you found out last night." Instagram account @commentsbycelebs shared a screenshot of the following exchange Tamra and Vicki had in the comments section. A fan asked what Steve did to her, and Vicki replied "He used me, he lied to me, he's been dating a 36 year old, and is not what he portrays himself to be. No Christian man would do what he's done." Tamra also chimed in and wrote, "While sleeping in your bed running for governor, using your followers. #unfollow." Vicki then divulged even more details about Steve's indiscretions. "While I was out of town working on a biz trip, he took her to my condo in Mexico! He's been flaunting around my town in OC making out in public places. It's disgusting." The former candidate for California Governor denied these accusations.
So, what news did Steve share over the holidays?
Steve Lodge is engaged just three months after Vicki Gunvalson breakup
Steve Lodge, Vicki Gunvalson's ex-fiance, became Instagram official with his girlfriend Janis Carlson, a third-grade teacher, on Christmas. He later revealed in a statement that they were taking things to the next level in their relationship. In a statement, per People, Steve announced, "I did ask Janis on December 20th if she would become Mrs. Steve Chavez Lodge, and she happily agreed." He continued, "We will be married in April 2022. We are both very excited, incredibly happy, totally in love and look forward to our life together." This will be Steve's fourth marriage and Carlson's first.
While the proposal seemed to happen just a few months after Vicki and Steve ended theirs, the retired police officer claims the former pair haven't been together since December 2020. In an Instagram message to @TwoJudgeyGirls (via Reality Blurb), he wrote, "Vicki and I ended our engagement and relationship in December of 2020. I did this in person verbally and explained it to her in writing. We had not been in an intimate relationship since September of 2020."
The Coto Insurance founder will likely address the break-up in more detail during the second season of "Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip," which is premiering some time in 2022.
