Tara Lipinski Is Married

Olympic champion Tara Lipinski married sports producer Todd Kapostasy on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Charleston, S.C., People magazine has confirmed.

The nuptials were held at the famous Middleton Place, where Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got hitched in 2012. Guests included her family and BFF Johnny Weir.

According to People, the couple met in May 2015 and got engaged in December of that year. 

"My life changed forever last night," Lipinski wrote on Instagram, announcing the couple's happy news. "I feel so lucky that I get to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend and love of my life. I've had many monumental happy days in my life but this by far is my happiest."

Lipinski is perhaps best known for winning the gold medal in women's figure skating at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. She's since become a commentator for the sport alongside Weir.
