Who Are Milo Ventimiglia's Famous Exes?
"This Is Us" actor Milo Ventimiglia's love life has always been a topic of public interest despite his attempts to keep it private. While the 44-year-old actor is single as of this writing, he has an impressive roster of former Hollywood flames. Ventimiglia rose to fame in 2001 with his role as Jess Mariano on "Gilmore Girls," when his infamous habit of dating costars began. Later roles like "Heroes" and "The Art of Racing in the Rain" led to more fame and relationships.
His high-profile romances make it hard for the star to keep them out of the spotlight, but in recent years, he has said that he has made a conscious effort to keep his private life, well, private.
"If that personal life starts to outweigh what the work is, then your work suffers. Your actual performance suffers because then the audience won't see the character, they'll see you, and then you're just playing yourself, but you're playing a version of yourself that's not yourself," he told People in 2017. "... I go to the store, I go get my car fixed, I have friends, I have a life, but nobody needs to know about it because I'm just the same as anyone else."
It all started with Alexis Bledel
Milo Ventimiglia and his "Gilmore Girls" costar Alexis Bledel took their fictional romance offscreen for three and a half years before calling it quits in 2006. The low-key couple never publicly said what went wrong in the relationship, and fans were devastated back then when his rep told People, "he is currently single," especially after Bledel said the two had talked about marriage the year prior.
"I think everybody who has been dating for more than a couple of years probably talks about it at some point," she told People. While the two never rekindled things in real life, Ventimiglia remained supportive of his ex's 2017 Emmy win for "The Handmaid's Tale," telling the Daily Dish, "she's always been a great actor."
While there's no sliver of hope for a real-life reunion — Bledel is married and has a son with actor Vincent Kartheiser — fans did see Jess Mariano and Rory Gilmore reunite in the show's 2016 Netflix reboot "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."
More costar chemistry with Hayden Panettiere
Despite a 12-year age difference, Milo Ventimiglia and his "Heroes" costar Hayden Panettiere dated for two years when she was just 18 and he was 29. This would go on to be Ventimiglia's most scrutinized relationship, since Panettiere was so much younger. The two called it quits in 2009, but the relationship made a lasting impression on both stars' reputations. Years later, Ventimiglia told Mr Porter that while he wouldn't change the experience, he'd "never do it again."
"There are things that happen to you in your life that shape who you are," he said in 2017. "Everything I've been through, from jobs to friendships to partnerships, everything has built me to who I am. You learn from it. You learn a better way of doing things." In fact, the intense public following may have been a last straw for Ventimiglia and Hollywood starlets. In 2019, he told E! News that dating costars is a "Bad idea. Don't s*** where you eat."
Isabella Brewster and Milo Ventimiglia's Disneyland date
After his split with Hayden Panettiere, Milo Ventimiglia switched from dating Hollywood starlets to dating their sisters. In December 2009, he was linked to "Dallas" actor Jordana Brewster's sister, Isabella, a talent agent, but their relationship was short-lived. Isabella was previously linked to Bradley Cooper before making several stops around California with Ventimiglia, including a trip to Disneyland. The two reportedly splurged on mouse ears with their names engraved in the back. They even showed lots of PDA on their trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth," but that ultimately would not be enough to keep them together.
The couple was also spotted walking in Santa Monica in February 2010 but reportedly took their hands off of each other when they saw paparazzi following them. Still, despite the attempts to keep things hush-hush, the Disney souvenirs weren't enough to keep their reported union afloat. Isabella went on to date comedian Russell Brand shortly after his divorce from Katy Perry. Have we dropped enough names yet?
Kelly Egarian was the actor's reported date to the 2017 Emmys
In an effort to keep things on the low, Stella McCartney marketing coordinator Kelly Egarian did not walk the 2017 Emmy red carpet with Milo Ventimiglia, but she did reportedly sit next to him during the ceremony. Ventimiglia's "This Is Us" costar Sterling K. Brown won an award that night, and that gave the two a reason to celebrate at an afterparty. An eyewitness told Us that the pair ate a private dinner at the Governors Ball at the Microsoft Theater together before Ventimiglia's costar, Mandy Moore, and her fiancé, Taylor Goldsmith, joined them. Ventimiglia and Egarian reportedly danced and kissed throughout the night.
That was the first and last public sighting of Ventimiglia and Egarian together. The New York Post asked him about their relationship status in June 2017, and he said, "We won't talk about it." Considering how open he has been about past relationships, we can't argue with that!
Diane Guerrero was just friends with Milo Ventimiglia
The most recent woman Milo Ventimiglia has been linked to is "Orange Is the New Black's" Diane Guerrero. But don't get too excited. After the pair was captured getting Mexican food and ice cream in Los Angles in 2019, ET learned the two were just friends.
Earlier that year, Ventimiglia's Emmy dates made headlines for a different reason. He brought his parents to the event, telling ET, "I called them up once the nomination came out, and before I could even say, 'Would you,' they said, 'Oh, we're going this year. We're going this year.' And I went, 'Oh, Okay. Good.'"
As of the end of 2021, Ventimiglia is seemingly single. Although, we're not sure we'd even know if he was seeing anyone anyway because of how private he's gotten. For now, we'll just have to continue vicariously enjoying the relationship between Jack and Rebecca Pearson.
