The Truth About Porsha Williams' Sister Lauren

When you sign up to appear on a show like "Real Housewives," it's pretty much guaranteed that your family is going to be involved in some way. While we've seen plenty of family drama front and center on the franchise (Teresa Giudice and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga's family drama on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," anyone?) there are also those relationships that play a smaller part on the show as we get glimpses at our favorite reality star's closeness (or lack thereof) to their kin.

Case and point: "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Williams and her relationship with her sister, Lauren Williams. Lauren has popped up on the show a few times since her sis first joined the series as a main cast member for Season 5 (and brought so much drama, can we add), supporting her through some very tough times. She's made several guest appearances between then and Porsha's departure from the show following Season 13, including standing by her sibling in the wake of the Dennis McKinley cheating scandal.

Lauren is now in the spotlight more than ever appearing alongside her family on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" spin-off "Porsha's Family Matters," but just who is Porsha's lookalike little sister Lauren really, what does she do, and how close are the two?

Porsha Williams is close to her sister

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" viewers will already know that Porsha Williams is close to her sister, Lauren Williams, and just a quick scan of the twosome's Instagram accounts proves it.

Lauren shared a gushing upload in celebration of her famous sister in November when she shared a snap of the two holding a copy of Porsha's book, "The Pursuit of Porsha: How I Grew Into My Power and Purpose." "It's official! My sister is an author!! @porsha4real I'm so proud of you! Love u so much!" Lauren — who is six years younger than Porsha — wrote in the caption.

And it seems like the two are teaching that close bond to their own daughters. Lauren is mom to a little girl, Baleigh, who was born in 2016 and regularly spends time with her niece, Porsha and Dennis McKinley's daughter, Pilar, who they nicknamed PJ. In May, Lauren shared a picture on Instagram of herself, Baleigh, and PJ at the beach, joking in the caption, "They say having a niece is like having a 2nd daughter to love and it really is...... so can I claim her on my taxes too?"

Porsha and her sister actually have different moms and are two are half-sisters. Porsha explained their dynamic growing up on "RHOA" in January, sharing that Lauren lived with their dad full time while she lived with her mom and would visit them at the weekend (via Bravo).

What does Lauren Williams do?

Lauren Williams is a businesswoman. Porsha Williams' sister often promotes her multiple business on Instagram, with her bio linking to her shop Real Life Snacks, which sells fashionable face coverings. Proving their bond is strong even in an entrepreneurial sense, the Williams sisters also teamed up for Go Naked Hair, a line of wigs, false eyelashes and more. Lauren's a total yogi on top of all that and shares glimpses of her flexibility on Instagram. In December, she shared an inspiring post about calmness as she promoted a virtual yoga session she was co-hosting.

Of course, another part of her career is being in front of the camera on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and "Porsha's Family Matters," with the part-time reality star experiencing her fair share of dramatic storylines. She and Porsha infamously had a little tension on "RHOA" back in 2017, but there was no love lost here.

"Lauren and I always had a really good relationship... we're best friends," Porsha told Bravo's The Daily Dish. "She's my everything. I couldn't have been blessed with a better little big sister... In business, she gets things done. And you know, working with your family member, you're definitely going to bump heads here and there. But that's sisters, and it's also business that happens. But she and I are best friends, but we're super close, we're there for each other," she added, noting they have "a really good relationship."
