The One Bedtime Rule Tom Brady Always Follows
Tom Brady is someone who makes headlines for his quirky habits as much as for his talents on the football field. After all, there have been so many reports about his diet, along with what he eats and what he doesn't eat, one would wonder why there isn't a university course dedicated to it by now.
"The regimen I follow is a mix of Eastern and Western philosophies. Some of these principles have been around for thousands of years. My nutritional regimen may seem restrictive to some people, but to me it feels unnatural to eat any other way," Brady wrote in his 2017 book, "The TB12 Method" (via Men's Health). He also added, "Many people have conditioned their bodies to a nutritional regimen made up of lots of white or pale-looking foods—french fries, potato chips, white bread, chicken nuggets—that don't exist in nature."
Even though Brady has enjoyed "cheat days" by indulging in things such as a single strawberry, according to the Food Network, other outlets, such as MassLive, have him stuffing his face with pizza and cheeseburgers. And while there has been a lot of talk about what Brady eats or doesn't eat on any given day, it's this one daily rule about his health that he always follows that seems to be turning more heads about his behavior.
Tom Brady doesn't play around at night
Tom Brady is said to be so good-looking, that one teacher used his face to help slow down traffic near her elementary school zone, according to USA Today. With that said, it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Brady is someone who takes his beauty sleep seriously and that's why he always goes to bed at the exact same time every day, regardless if he won a Super Bowl trophy that evening or not.
According to People, Brady goes to bed at 8:30 p.m., which means he doesn't get to stay up too late to hear the late-night talk show hosts talk about his hair, his affinity for pool slides, or his marriage to Gisele Bündchen. Back in 2016, Brady told ABC News that his sleep is just as important to him as his diet. He said, "I don't go to bed at 1 a.m. and wake up at 5 a.m. and say, 'Let's see if I can get this done today,'" also adding that "because my career is so important, I think I make a lot of, I wouldn't call them sacrifices, but just concessions for my job. I love what I do and I want to do it for a long time."
So, what does his wife Bündchen think of her husband's discipline? Well, for starters it doesn't seem like they have a lot of time for pillow talk.
Gisele Bundchen hits the hay early, too
Back in 2018, Gisele Bündchen also published a book called "Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life," in which she detailed her own daily schedule, her diet, and of course, her daily mantra. Her routine includes a workout, her meditation, and time spent in her "sanctuary" that apparently features crystals and high ceilings, according to Daily Mail.
Bündchen did write in her book that in order to function every day as a model, mom, and wife, she needs at least seven hours of sleep. The Brazilian beauty wakes up every morning at 5 a.m. and tucks in at 10 p.m. She wrote, "I need at least seven hours of sleep, eight if I can get it. Thankfully I've never had any trouble falling asleep. I'm usually exhausted at night, and as soon as I put my head on the pillow, I am gone."
So not only does the world get to be jealous of this genetically blessed and talented couple for their looks and their accomplishments, but also for the fact that they are easy sleepers, too. Well, a lot of people would be going to sleep early too knowing that a seven-time Super Bowl champ might possibly be in the kitchen the next morning making his world famous pancakes for breakfast, as Bündchen once shared on Instagram. Some people just have all the luck, right?
