George Clooney Sells Tequila Brand For $1 Billion

George Clooney is having the best year ever.

Deadline is reporting that Clooney, Rande Gerber (aka Cindy Crawford's husband) and Mike Meldman are selling their tequila brand Casamigos to British beverage company Diageo for a jaw-dropping $1 billion. Even crazier, the company was formed just four years ago.

"If you asked us four years ago if we had a billion dollar company, I don't think we would have said yes," Clooney said in a statement on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. "This reflects Diageo's belief in our company and our belief in Diageo. But we're not going anywhere. We'll still be very much a part of Casamigos. Starting with a shot tonight. Maybe two."

"We never could have imagined it," Gerber added to TMZ.

The deal comes just weeks after Clooney, who is reportedly worth hundreds of millions of dollars already, welcomed twins with wife Amal.

So, yeah. Excuse us while we go invest in some tequila.
