How Tall Is Jeff Bezos?
Jeff Bezos is famous for his immense Amazon-fueled wealth, and some might say he's just as well-known for his looks. Notably, he doesn't try to hide his lack of hair despite the fact that other famous figures don't want you to know they're going bald. And in November, the public started chatting about something else, according to The Sun: Bezos' height.
The question sparked after the entrepreneur was seen at a party in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez. When the two spent some time talking with fellow event attendee Leonardo DiCaprio, a video was snapped that showed the actor looking a lot (like a lot) taller than both Bezos and Sanchez.
Was DiCaprio standing on an elevated step? Was the actor wearing massive platform shoes for some reason? Or is Bezos really that much shorter than the star? If you find yourself asking those questions (which you surely are now), then you may also be wondering how tall Bezos really is. And how tall is he compared to DiCaprio and the other richest people in the world?
Jeff Bezos is a lot shorter than Leonardo DiCaprio
Jeff Bezos may have made it to the top of the business world, however, when it comes to his height, he's actually below average. Most men in the United States stand at around 5 feet and 9.3 inches tall, according to MedicineNet. Bezos, on the other hand, is 5 feet and 7 inches, per The Sun.
So, what does that mean when it comes to how tall Bezos is compared to Leonardo DiCaprio? Well, the actor happens to be quite a bit above average at 6 feet tall. That means the star is over 4 inches taller than Bezos. As for Lauren Sanchez, The Sun claims that she's 5 feet and 3 inches. Granted, Bezos doesn't seem to be too bothered by the height difference or the attention that DiCaprio received. He took to Twitter seemingly (and we're sure jokingly) ready to take the actor on, posting a photo of himself by a cliff and tweeting, "Leo, come over here, I want to show you something ..."
But wait! If the size difference between Bezos and DiCaprio isn't that much, then why did the actor appear to be so much taller than the businessman? Apparently, he was on a stage that gave him a noticeable boost, according to BuzzFeed. Of course, there's no denying DiCaprio is taller than Bezos, which can also be said for other people in Bezos' life.
Jeff Bezos is shorter than both Bill Gates and Elon Musk
Jeff Bezos is not only shorter than both the United States national average and Leonardo DiCaprio, but he's also not as tall as other notable money-makers. When it comes to the people who are often flip-flopping for the top spots on the list of the world's richest people, both Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Tesla CEO Elon Musk are usually right there with Bezos, per Forbes. What doesn't flip-flop when it comes to the super-rich trio is how tall each of them stands.
Bezos happens to be the shortest at 5 feet and 7 inches tall. Gates is 2 inches taller at 5 feet and 9.5 inches tall, according to Celeb Heights, putting him around the average. As for Musk, he's taller than them both by a significant amount. The SpaceX entrepreneur is apparently 6 feet and 1.5 inches tall, per Celeb Heights.
However, it doesn't seem like Bezos thinks his height is holding him back. "It's our choices that define us, not our gifts. ... You might be tall, or [good at] math, or extremely beautiful — but you can only be proud really of your choices because those are things where you are active," Bezos said during an appearance at Summit, the Idea Festival in Los Angeles in November 2018, according to Inc. True? Or just a tall tale?
