Fans Still Can't Get Over Juice WRLD's Eerie Last Moments

Clips from Juice WRLD's final moments before his untimely death have just resurfaced following the release of his posthumous album, "Fighting Demons" and HBO documentary "Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss." The Chicago-born rapper, whose real name is Jarad Anthony Higgins, died in December of 2019 after suffering from a seizure just shortly after his plane had landed in Chicago.

He was reported to have died from an accidental drug overdose and, at the time, witnesses claimed that the rapper had ingested pills to hide them from the police. However, his photographer Chris Long was quick to rebut the rumors. "J did not swallow a bunch of pills because the police were at the airport. We gave no f***s about them being there. He could have flushed them down the toilet if he cared," Long tweeted. "J was just hooked bad. The amount he took daily was absurd and he hid how much he really took from mostly everyone," he added. "Everyone around him tried really hard to get him to slow down. When he agreed to rehab it was because he wanted to lower his tolerance. He didn't want to stop."

To say that Juice WRLD's death stunned fans everywhere would be an understatement. At the time, his career was taking off and it seemed he had a bright future ahead of him. But while some painted his final moments as tragic, clips of that night suggested otherwise.

Juice WRLD was in "high spirits" moments before his death

"Whether he knew it or not, Juice was a therapist to millions of kids," music producer Benny Blanco said in the HBO documentary "Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss," per the Chicago Sun-Times. His music resonated with young people as he did not hold back in talking about pain, passion, and even issues like addiction and depression. While he did battle his personal demons, he was someone who loved his fans fiercely and served as a positive influence to the people around him.

If resurfaced videos shared by DJ Akademiks are any indication, Juice WLRD seemed to be in a good mood on the same night he died. "This was Juice Wrld as he got on the plane that took him to Chicago last night," the DJ wrote. "He was in high spirits and looked happy." The rapper was seen laughing and goofing around with his friends.

"I love y'all more than life itself," Juice WRLD told his fans at a show just days before, per the Daily Mail, showing just how much he valued his supporters. "Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time," Interscope Records said in a statement after he died. "He was a gentle soul, whose creativity knew no bounds."
