Sean Combs Takes Top Spot In Forbes' 2017 List Of Highest-Paid Celebrities
Surprised? So were we.
Sean "Diddy" Combs—otherwise known as P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, or Puffy—has earned the title of highest-paid celebrity on Forbes' 2017 list. Though Combs hasn't had a single hit the hot 100 chart since 1999, he's maintained an impressive income thanks to his part in the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour. Of course, that's not the only source of his wealth. Combs also enjoys a partnership with Ciroc vodka and sold a third of his clothing line, Sean John, for a reported $70 million this past year. His total earnings? A whopping $130 million.
Not too bad.
Beyoncé snagged No. 2 on the list, largely due to her Formation World Tour, earning her a total of $105 million.
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who was once in poverty, took third place with $95 million. Considering the success of her 2016 book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, its sold-out West End production, the blockbuster hit Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the recent Harry Potter attraction at Universal Studios, she's more than earned her place on the list.
Other celebs currently rolling in dough include Drake, The Weeknd, and LeBron James.
Maybe the Illuminati is responsible for these stars' big bucks. After all, more than one of these A-listers are suspected to be members of the secret society.
