Has Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Ever Been In A Movie?
With a father like Brad Pitt and a mother like Angelina Jolie, fans can't help but wonder if Shiloh Jolie-Pitt will follow in her parents' footsteps with a movie career of her own. Some even might say she's already Hollywood royalty, thanks to her media exposure and red carpet appearances. Even though the teen is yet to give an interview herself, her parents have talked about her, as well as her siblings, plenty of times before. Calling his kids "true comedians," Pitt said during an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" back in 2018 that Shiloh wanted to change her name to John. "It's a Peter Pan thing. So we've got to call her John," he said at the time.
In an October interview with People (via Vanity Fair), Jolie — a proud mother of six —revealed when it comes to raising her family, she employs a hands-off approach. "I have six very individual human beings in my home," she gushed. "I am so excited about all the different stages and feelings and curiosities that they go through. Why wouldn't you be?" The star added, "We're supposed to help them figure out who they are. And you can't figure out who they are if you don't enthusiastically develop with them."
So, does that mean Jolie would support her daughter Shiloh if she decided to pursue a career in the entertainment business, just like her mother did when she was a teen? Perhaps. And unlike many aspiring teen actors her age, Shiloh already has one foot in the door.
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt's Hollywood career began in infancy
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Shiloh Jolie-Pitt already has a Hollywood resume that other aspiring artists could only dream of having. According to her IMDb page, Shiloh has a voiceover credit for 2016's "Kung Fu Panda 3" and an uncredited role in Pitt's 2008 hit "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (she "played" the protagonist, Caroline, as a baby). The movie began shooting at the tail end of 2006 and continued into 2007, so there's a good chance Shiloh wasn't 1 yet when she made her cameo.
When promoting the film, Pitt told Oprah Winfrey during an appearance on her show that fatherhood had a profound effect on the projects he chose. "I can't help but do a film thinking my kids will see that someday and that may mean something to them. So it puts an extra importance and yet takes off the importance at the same time," he said. Well, it's safe to say "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is "extra" important for the Jolie-Pitt family thanks to Shiloh's appearance — we can't help but wonder whether she has watched the film before!
As for "Kung Fu Panda," Angelina Jolie provided sweet insight into how it all went. "They were kind of shy," the actor said of her brood in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "They don't really want to be actors, but I didn't want them to miss the opportunity." She added, "They came in, and they had a lot of fun with it."
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are supportive parents
Now, as far as whether or not Shiloh Jolie-Pitt will pursue a Hollywood career as an adult remains to be seen (kids change their minds all of the time, after all!), but no matter what happens, it's clear her parents have her back. Brad Pitt told GQ back in 2017 about his sensitive approach to parenting, "Kids are so delicate. They absorb everything. They need to have their hand held and things explained. They need to be listened to." He added, "When I get in that busy work mode, I'm not hearing. I want to be better at that."
As for Angelina, she told Harper's Bazaar she wants her kids to "explore the world, including the world of ideas and expression, without there being limits to what they are allowed to study or know or imagine themselves doing in the future." That future might include modeling if tabloid rumors prove true. "Shiloh seems to have a more confident attitude about herself," an insider claimed to OK! Magazine about the teen's supposed aspirations to hit the runway. "Of course, when you have Angelina and Brad [Pitt] for parents, it's no surprise she'd make the perfect cover girl."
Of course, it's also more than possible will follow in the footsteps of her big brother Pax, who went the higher education route. Or Shiloh can pursue college and acting because we have a feeling Pitt and Jolie are the kinds of parents who would say, "Sky's the limit!"
