Scott Speedman: I Was A 'Disaster' While Dating Keri Russell

On the Tuesday, May 30, 2017, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, actor Scott Speedman admitted he wasn't exactly the best real-life boyfriend to Keri Russell while the two filmed the WB series Felicity—especially when Russell infamously chopped off her famous hair.

"We were actually dating at the time and I had been such a disaster of a boyfriend up until [then] and I knew I had to put on a good show. I knew I was going to see her new haircut and I was like, 'Come on man, you got to bring it home. You gotta do it,'" Speedman recalled of his relationship with Russell, who, by the way, was sitting next to him on Kimmel. "And I got to work and she turned around the corner and my face sort of froze in a half panic, half smile sort of situation. I just didn't pull it off and she called me out."

Despite their awkward relationship, Russell and Speedman are still very close friends; Speedman also attended Russell's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony earlier that day.

"I have my core friends in L.A. and Mandy and Scott—I feel like they always have my back," Russell said on Kimmel. "They would fight someone for me."

Russell is currently dating Matthew Rhys, her co-star on The Americans. They have a son together, Sam. She was previously married to Shane Deary, with whom she has two children.

Speedman was most recently linked to French actress Camille De Pazzis.
