Carrie Underwood Marks 12-Year Anniversary Of American Idol Win
The "Before He Cheats" singer may be a big shot now, but it wasn't that long ago that she was a contestant on one of America's most popular reality competitions.
Carrie Underwood took to Instagram on May 25, 2017 to commemorate the 12-year anniversary of her first-place win on American Idol. Alongside photos from arguably one of the most important nights of her life, Underwood, 34, wrote, "12 years later and I'm still not sure how it all happened to me! 12 years ago today, my dreams came true and life has been a dream ever since!"
"I am beyond blessed and so thankful!" she continued.
Underwood recently met up with former Idol judge Paula Abdul backstage at the "Opposites Attract" singer's tour with Boyz II Men. "So happy to reunite with the amazingly talented and equally beautiful @carrieunderwood tonight," Abdul wrote on Instagram. "So proud of your journey."
Hopefully, Underwood will continue to show some Idol love on the series' ABC reboot. So far, Katy Perry's been announced as a judge, raking in a $25 million paycheck. Maybe Underwood can join the judges' panel too?
