Here's Where You've Seen Jesse Boone From NCIS: Hawaii Before

Earlier this year, CBS drama "NCIS: Hawaii" brought in actor Noah Mills to star as Jesse Boone, a former homicide detective whose soft interior contrasts with his hardened police exterior, per Variety. The detective is tough on suspects in the interrogation room, but loves to spend time with his family when he isn't working. Mills stars alongside fan favorites Vanessa Lachey, Jason Antoon, Yasmine Al-Bustami, and Tori Anderson, among others. "NCIS: Hawaii" premiered its first season in September and is a spin-off of the original "NCIS" series. The franchise, which began over 25 years ago, now has four series airing at the same time, including "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "NCIS: New Orleans."

But this isn't Mills' first rodeo starring in a television series. In fact, you might recognize his face from a number of other films and shows. He has a long track record of dazzling fans with his charm and good looks, while successfully morphing into a variety of roles. Speaking to MTV in 2010, Mills admitted he had started moving away from his career as a model to pursue one in acting. He began by taking acting classes during breaks between modeling projects and attended a few auditions. His audition for one popular movie, in particular, landed him his first-ever acting role and launched his career as a successful actor.

Prior to making his Hollywood debut in "Sex and the City 2" in 2010, Noah Mills was an up-and-coming model. He worked with some of the world's top fashion brands, including Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Yves Saint Laurent, per TV Overmind. Now, even after breaking into acting, the Canadian native still partners with many well known brands for photoshoots that he posts on his Instagram page. 

Those who followed the model's career prior to 2010 were thrilled to see him featured in "Sex and the City 2" alongside actor Kim Cattrall, who plays the sex-obsessed Samantha, per MTV. Mills had the opportunity to become one of Samantha's "boy toys," which meant his role involved plenty of shirtless time and not many lines. This was fine by him, though. 

Speaking to MTV, Mills said, "I thought it was fun. I'm secure and comfortable with my body. It's part of the draw with these films, especially with Samantha's character." The actor added that when he was told he'd be playing one of Samantha's "love interests," he knew that meant "sex interest" and he was fine with that. He was happy to have landed an acting role and told MTV that when he found out he got the part in "Sex and the City 2," he was "really excited" given his "mission" to become an actor. "It's awesome to be finally in a movie," he said.

While Noah Mills has racked up a long list of movies and television shows, you will likely recognize him from one of his most recent projects — "The Enemy Within." The NBC crime drama, which first aired in 2019, stars Mills as Special Agent Jason Bragg, who works in the FBI's Counterintelligence Division and partners with his co-workers to hunt spies, per Deadline. Just like when he landed a part in "Sex and the City 2," Mills was "excited" to be chosen for the part of Bragg, which he revealed to Brief Take in a 2019 interview. He described the experience of playing Bragg as "awesome" and the nature of the series as "fast-paced," which he found "fun." Mills' role on "The Enemy Within" followed a one-season stint on "The Brave," which also gave him some experience with an action drama, in which he played a combat medic in the military.

Despite "The Enemy Within" getting canceled after just one season, Mills discovered that he liked the procedural nature of the crime drama and how the characters spend the entire season chasing the bad guy instead of each individual episode featuring a one-and-done storyline, which he confessed to Cheddar News in a 2019 interview. It seems that his experience in the crime-fighting genre with both "The Enemy Within" and "The Brave" made him an ideal candidate for "NCIS: Hawaii" and showed him that crime dramas are where he wants to be.
