Who Is Alex Bregman's Wife, Reagan Bregman?

Fans of Major League Baseball would know that baseball season is a grind — 162 games with post-season playoffs and dramatics. Teams who make it to the World Series have already endured a five-month grind from the regular season and will have to keep their eyes on the prize for a little bit longer. Luckily for the managers, they have star players.

One of the biggest names in this year's lineup is Alex Bregman. The third baseman and shortstop for the Houston Astros is seeking a second world championship ring after getting his first one in 2017, according to LSU Sports. Per ESPN, Alex has a .244 batting average this season and will look to get his bat heated up in the championship series against the Atlanta Braves, which runs from October 26 to November 3, if all seven games are played.

While fans wait for Alex to bring it on the field, let's find out a little more about his better half, Reagan Bregman, below.

According to The Spun, Alex Bregman met his wife, Reagan Bregman, in late 2018 and they dated for over a year before they got engaged in January 2020. Reagan was born in Louisiana, but spent her childhood moving to and from different cities and countries, including Trinidad and Tabago, Spain, and Canada, according to Houston City Book. She eventually settled in Katy and worked as a model before she became an entrepreneur.

Reagan launched an athleisure brand called "Exiza" in August and it was inspired by her love for exercising. "I wear athletic clothes all day — from running errands to taking meetings," she told Culture Map Houston. "I wanted clothes that you could actually feel good in that were really comfortable." However, Reagan didn't actually think her clothing line would come to fruition so quickly.

"I always knew I wanted to start a business someday, but I didn't know it would be this soon," she told the outlet. "I worked in startup hubs throughout college and spent a little over a year and a half at Google, and I loved the startup life, but I definitely didn't know I'd be starting a company right now." Despite Reagan's hesitance, her athleisure brand has been supported by her fellow Houston players' wives and, of course, her husband too.

While Reagan Bregman is now known as Mrs. Bregman, she actually almost missed out on meeting her husband, Alex Bregman. Speaking to The Knot after their December 2020 wedding, Reagan said that she didn't expect to meet anyone at the dinner party her friend arranged. "It was crazy because I didn't want to be [at dinner]," she said. "And then we went on a date, three or four days later."

The couple even made it work during baseball season, agreeing to have a long-distance relationship. "When we both realized we were willing to sacrifice things to make things work, we realized it was it," Reagan said, while Alex added, "She was driving back and forth every weekend, three hours there and back, waking up at 5 am to get to work. She was working her tail off and coming to see me."

Their sacrifices eventually paid off as they got married in a COVID wedding, with Alex gushing to the outlet about his wife. "[Reagan] cares: she's willing to go above and beyond for the people she loves and is loyal. She's hardworking, smart and she literally does everything for me," he said. "She makes life better. Whenever I'm around her, she makes me happy." With those sweet words, we are certain that Reagan will be present and cheering on her husband throughout the World Series, while posting snaps on Instagram as she's always done.
