Here's What Demi Moore Looks Like Without Makeup
Demi Moore is one of those actors who never seems to age. From the minute she stepped foot in showbusiness until today, her beauty never faltered, leading her to get recognition not just for her talent, but for her looks, too. She was part of People's roster of the "Most Beautiful People in the World" in 1996 and later listed her in the Top 10 on their list, "All-Time Most Beautiful Women."
But while the world worships Moore's beauty, the actor had bouts of struggles with self-image and self-love, especially when she was just starting out. "[I] spent a good portion of my early career feeling this attachment to my external really being a measure of my value," she once told Access Online. Luckily, she eventually learned to conquer those issues. "The obsessing of it is never going to reap us the rewards we're looking for," she added. "There isn't a car, there isn't a house, there isn't a job that is ever ultimately going to be enough. ... When [you] really step back — and in the same way with my body — I realized that you really need to come from the inside out and really let go."
Now, Moore seems to be more confident in her own skin, and she often shares photos of herself with not a trace of makeup on.
Demi Moore attended a makeup-free party hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow
Many celebrities avoid sharing photos of themselves when bare-faced in an effort to protect their image, but Demi Moore is not one of them. On her days off, she likes posting photos of what she's doing, and more often than not, the portraits are almost always makeup-free. Photos of her hanging with her family, friends, pets, and even pictures of her on vacation are typically filter-free. It's clear that Moore is confident in her skin!
There was even a time where she attended a makeup-free party hosted by her good friend Gwyneth Paltrow. It had no dress code whatsoever, but guests must abide by a strict rule: you're not allowed to wear makeup for the night. According to Paltrow, it was "a beautiful gathering in celebration of beauty just the way we come."
The party was packed with celebrities, including Moore, her daughter Rumer Willis, Kate Hudson, Rachel Zoe, and Samantha Ronson. "No make up, no filter," wrote Paltrow on her Instagram post reminiscing about the night. "An amazing gathering of some of the best women on planet earth."
Demi Moore has a pricey skincare routine
Demi Moore probably wouldn't be able to maintain her natural beauty if she didn't know how to take care of it. In her 2019 video for Harper's Bazaar where she revealed her nighttime skin routine, Moore explained that the key to looking young is an elaborate skincare regimen. Hers just happens to cost over a thousand dollars — $1,221 to be exact, per Page Six. The "Ghost" star shared that her skincare routine consists of a series of moisturizers, serums, and a crystal sculpting tool. She also thanked her mom for "drill[ing] in me no matter what that you should wash, cleanse and moisturize your skin," Moore said.
Still, rumors abound that Moore has gotten plastic surgery. In a 2010 interview with ELLE UK (via the Daily Mail), she admitted, "I have had something done but it's not on my face." She went on to describe the "hurt" she felt from the excessive gossip, revealing all the talk about the money she allegedly spends on surgery "irritates" her. But she didn't entirely rule out any facial procedures in the future. "You know what? Maybe one day I'll go under the knife," Moore said.
Ultimately though, Moore believes that the secret to beauty is feeling good about yourself. "I definitely think beauty starts on the inside," she shared at the 2019 Goop Health Summit, per W Magazine. "You can do anything you want to the outside, but if the inside isn't looking or feeling good, then I don't know if anything you do on the outside is going to be good enough."
