90 Day Fiance Stars Who Had Plastic Surgery Transformations
Nowadays, it's rather rare for a big-name Hollywood star to keep their look au naturel. While there are some celebs out there who truly forgo plastic surgery, there are a number of stars who have gotten work done. What's more, there are some famous folk who have been totally open about the work they've gotten done. Take Kourtney Kardashian, for example, who set the record straight about the changes she's made to her body in the most Kourtney way. "I have had breast implants," she said on ABC's "Nightline" in 2010, "but it's so funny 'cause it's not a secret, I could care less." Bible.
Speaking of reality stars who've gotten plastic surgery, a handful of the cast members featured on TLC's hit show "90 Day Fiance" have also gone under the knife. From getting lip injections for a fuller pout to undergoing extensive surgery on all parts of their bodies, these public figures have altered their appearance since making their debut on the program. Some have been transparent about what they have and haven't gotten done, whereas others have denied the procedures altogether. Let's take a look at the many stars of the reality dating series that have since surprised fans by their plastic surgery transformations.
Anfisa Arkhipchenko
Russian beauty Anfisa Arkhipchenko first appeared on Season 4 of "90 Day Fiance" where she and her former husband Jorge Nava tried their best to navigate through several difficulties in their relationship. Anfisa and Jorge appeared in two more seasons of the series' spinoff "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After," but it was anything but a fairytale after Jorge was arrested and sentenced to two and a half years in prison and the couple split.
Anfisa hasn't appeared on any other "90 Day Fiance" spinoffs, but she has been extremely busy working on herself. Looking at Anfisa's Instagram, it's clear the reality star is devoted to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and has even participated in bodybuilding competitions. She also shared that she had enrolled in college and is a certified personal trainer.
Anfisa always looked her best on the show, and viewers have wondered if she ever got plastic surgery. In an Instagram post (via CheatSheet), the reality star did share that she got breast implants back in Russia. And in a YouTube video that's been made private (via CheatSheet), she said she got her nose done. Anfisa had also opened up on Instagram Stories (via InTouch) about getting Botox, sharing that she likes "the smooth look" the injections create. While Anfisa has gotten work done, her major body changes appear to come from the dedication and hard work she puts in when she's at the gym.
Paola Mayfield
Paola Mayfield is a "90 Day Fiance" veteran after appearing on the show's first-ever season. The Colombian reality star made the big move to Oklahoma to be with husband Russ Mayfield and to pursue a modeling gig, and while Russ had his reservations, the couple managed to overcome those obstacles and even welcomed a son named Axel in 2019. However, Paola has since made a big change in her career: As she announced on Instagram in March 2021, she has become a professional wrestler.
So, what has Paola gotten done? In a since-deleted Instagram post (via InTouch), she shared she underwent breast augmentation surgery. "I did my boobs way before I came to the USA, and I regret it as I have big boobs before, and now that I'm pregnant my genetics are popping out more," she wrote.
Addressing other work she might have had, Paola shared with her Instagram fans that she had "one side of my upper lip" done to even her lips out, but has never gotten Botox. "My lips look big or small depending on how hydrated I am! So I need to drink a lot of water for them to look juicy!" Other than that, fans might speculate that the star has had other work, but it might just be her ever-changing hair colors. Since appearing on the show, Paola has taken her hair from its natural dark color to blonde, red, and even pink.
Fernanda Flores
Season 6 of "90 Day Fiance" introduced viewers to Fernanda Flores, who met her future husband Jonathan Rivera while partying in her native Mexico. The couple ended up getting married before Fernanda's 90 days were up in 2019, but a year later, they announced that they had separated, with Jonathan telling InTouch, "Things change and people change and I can't help that."
On the show, Jonathan shared that he helped fund Fernanda's breast augmentation, and Fernanda has gotten more work done since the couple called it quits. According to Us Weekly, she underwent nonsurgical rhinoplasty, which was shared on Instagram by plastic surgeon Dr. Otto J. Placik. In no time, Jonathan took the opportunity to take a jab at his ex-wife and her new nose after she had previously called him a "narcissist" on Twitter (via Us Weekly). He shared on Instagram (via SoapDirt), "When you try to drag my character through the mud to redirect the attention off of you, out here getting nose jobs and s*** after you went through 'hell' and I'm a narcissist ... I don't know how she's paying for it, but it's damn sure not my money."
Despite the former couple's drama, both stars have moved on. Fernanda made her relationship with professional boxer Noel Mikaelian Instagram official, while Jonathan is engaged to Janelle Miller. In March 2021, Jonathan announced on Facebook (via Us Weekly) that he and his fiance were expecting a baby boy.
Darcey Silva
Darcey Silva has been turning heads with her ever-changing looks since she first appeared on "90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days" in 2017. The reality star doesn't shy away from letting people know about the next time she'll be going under the knife, but she recently shocked fans with her new look. According to The U.S. Sun, Darcey, along with twin sister Stacey, traveled to Turkey to have several procedures done, including "an eye lift, nose lift, lip lift, breast implants, and Brazilian Butt Lift."
The multiple surgeries were also shown on the Season 2 finale of the reality star's TLC show "Darcey & Stacey," with Darcey telling ET that the transformation made her and Stacey "better versions of ourselves," adding, "that's how I feel, but it starts from within. And going there together, as twins, we bonded more, like, it was a whole experience. ... We just felt very protected there, we felt the history, we felt, like, freed, we felt re-birthed. And I would never take that situation or journey back. This was the best thing we've ever done for ourselves."
To complete their looks, the sisters also had their old veneers removed before getting new ones with television viewers getting a look at their natural teeth. In the episode, Darcey admits that their transformations aren't "for the faint of heart," adding, "you gotta go through the pain to get those gains."
Stacey Silva
Darcey Silva's other half Stacey Silva has been by her twin sister's side after she had her heart broken, not once, but twice on "90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days." Unlike Darcey, Stacey had already found love — and internationally, too. Viewers met her Albanian fiance Florian Sukaj when Darcey was seeing British-born Tom Brooks during Seasons 3 and 4. However, while Darcey and Tom couldn't make it work, Stacey and Florian weathered a few storms, including a cheating scandal that popped up before they tied the knot in April 2020, per Us Weekly.
Now that both sisters are in relationships with Darcey finding love and getting engaged to Bulgarian-born Georgi Rusev, the sisters continue to be open about going under the knife. In 2020, the duo told ET that they had tummy tucks and their breasts done, with Darcey sharing, "And we got new boobs about the same size. The doctor did them tandem. One went first, then the other."
With the sisters doing pretty much everything together, fans weren't surprised to see Stacey and Darcey get the same cosmetic surgeries yet again on the "Darcey & Stacey" Season 2 finale. The siblings went to Turkey for one of their biggest makeovers yet, calling it a "twin transformation," per ET.
Deavan Clegg
Viewers watched as "90 Day Fiance: The Other Way" star Deavan Clegg traveled to Korea to be with Jihoon Lee, bringing along her daughter from a previous relationship and their son. As ScreenRant recounted, the couple hit multiple serious rough patches when they were together, including Deaven accusing Jihoon of assaulting her daughter. (In February 2021, Us Weekly reported these allegations were under investigation. He denied the accusations.) Moving back to the U.S., Deavan has since moved on with a man named Chris "Topher" Park.
Fans noticed that the reality star had undergone cosmetic procedures since her Season 1 debut. She had previously admitted to heavily editing her photos on social media but eventually shared that she had gotten lip fillers in Korea that went wrong. InTouch shared photos that Deavan uploaded to Instagram of her botched procedure "I had damage so severe that my lip was dying," she wrote, adding that she had reached out to "90 Day Fiance" star Larissa Lima, who connected her with a professional injector who could help her out, per The Blast.
Now with a brand new pout, Deavan also showed off her fresh veneers in 2019 on Instagram (via CheatSheet) and started a fundraiser asking her fans to help pay for a boob job on her OnlyFans account, per Screen Rant.
Angela Deem
Popular "90 Day Fiance" cast member Angela Deem stunned viewers when she underwent major surgery in August 2020 that drastically changed her appearance. Her surgery was so major that her husband, Nigerian-born Michael Ilesanmi, did not approve of it before she went through with it.
According to Us Weekly, Angela shared that she had lost 90 pounds after she underwent gastric sleeve surgery, liposuction, and a breast reduction. The reality star admitted that she needed to go through with the surgery for her health, sharing, "I've always wanted to enhance my look for Michael because of his age, but this journey — people need to know — I felt like I would have died without the weight-loss surgery." After the procedure, Angela appeared on the "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After" Season 6 tell-all, where, as Us Weekly reported, she said she'd lost a total of 106 pounds.
As for Michael, he now fully supports his wife's decision to get surgery. He shared at the tell-all (via Us Weekly), "She looks so sweet and sexy. I just want her to be healed and healthy. I love it now."
Karine Staehle
Brazilian-born Karine Staehle and husband Paul Staehle have had quite the rollercoaster relationship ever since appearing on "90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days." With Paul moving to Brazil to be with Karine, the couple faced language barriers, rumors of infidelity, and Paul's extensive criminal history. The two split on several occasions after they wed in November 2017, with news that Karine had filed for divorce. Oh, and there was the restraining order that was filed by both reality stars but was eventually dropped in 2020. The stars had major ups and downs, but as of this writing, they are still together and working on their marriage.
The last time viewers got to watch Karine and Paul's story was on Season 5 of "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After," when the couple moved to the US and Paul struggled to find work. Despite their hardships, Karine took some time to change up her appearance: In November 2020, Paul posted a photo on his Instagram of his wife with a much fuller pout and fuller brows. InTouch reported that Karine had the cosmetic procedure done in Brazil by Alessandra Nascimento who has also shared photos of the reality star's transformation, stating that Karine had "ombre shadow and lip revitalization. A perfect combination to beautify and enhance facial features."
Rebecca Parrott
The 21 years between "90 Day Fiance" couple Rebecca Parrott and Zied Hakimi were cause for concern for many viewers when the former flew to Tunisia to meet the latter. Despite the large age gap and the fact that she looked very different compared to her heavily edited selfies she sent to Zied (remember the shirt he wore when meeting her for the very first time at the airport?), the couple made it work and got hitched at the end of Season 8.
What's more, Rebecca's look has undergone some changes. Besides rocking dark hair, she admitted to getting work done on the Season 8 tell-all. "Recently, I got Dysport, which is the same as Botox, and lip injections. It was a 50th birthday gift to myself," she told host Shaun Robinson (via InTouch), adding that Zied "loved it."
On Instagram, Rebecca also shared her journey with Sono Bello, a laser liposuction procedure, and shared a before and after photo of herself, writing, "Every day I feel better about my body." She also shared her story on the Sono Bello website, stating, "I just want a better version of myself. I don't have words for how excited I am."
Larissa Lima
Larissa Lima is no stranger to plastic surgery. The "90 Day Fiance" star is honest and open about all the procedures she has done so that she can look like "a perfect doll," as she once shared in an episode. TMZ reported that in 2020, Larissa had multiple surgeries that included a boob job, liposuction on her abs and waist, and transferring the fat to her bottom, which cost the star around $72,000. She also decided to get a nose job and revealed her new face to her friends and on-again, off-again partner Eric Nichols on the show.
The star told ET that she had no desire to stop getting work done, sharing, "Once we drink the wine of the plastic surgery, we start to find things that we can fix, we can change, you know? And once I tried [it], I don't want to stop." And for Larissa, it's go big or go home. InTouch reported that she decided to get even larger breasts by the same Nevada plastic surgeon who once said bigger is not always better, going from 700 cc silicone implants to 1500 cc saline implants, per ScreenRant.
So will she stop there? Well, while her profile is private as of this writing, her Instagram bio reads, "1500 cc and going UP."
Jasmin Abelard
Jasmin and Blake Abelard were featured on Season 7 of "90 Day Fiance." Though they faced a few roadblocks in their relationship — a list that includes Jasmin not being a fan of Blake's music or his friends, as well as Blake being a little hesitant to walk down the aisle — the couple eventually tied the knot on the show.
While the duo encountered a number of relationship hurdles, fans had other things on their mind about the Finland native — namely regarding her appearance. After some pre-show photos of Jasmin made the internet rounds, some viewers began to suspect she'd had work done to her lips and nose. However, when an Instagram user suggested her face was not "natural" (via Distractify), Jasmin denied that it's seen any sort of plastic surgery. She did say that she underwent breast augmentation with a procedure called AirSculpt, which "removes fat cells through a freckle-sized hole while simultaneously tightening the skin," according to InTouch.
Jasmin may have declared that she's all real when it comes to her facial features, but apparently, she wouldn't say the same about the TLC reality series. When an Instagram user called her out in the comments section (via Soap Dirt), she replied, "fake tv show." Later, she said that she was only "acting" when another user called her mean. Of course, Jasmin hasn't been the only "90 Day Fiance" star to call out the show for being scripted.
Brittany Banks
When Brittany Banks landed in Jordan to be with Yazan Abu Harirah, it was anything but a fairytale. On Season 2 of "90 Day Fiance: The Other Way," the couple struggled to understand each other's cultures, with Yazan wanting Brittany to convert to Islam, dealing with a language barrier, and Yazan's parents disapproving of the Brittany's racy social media posts. They couldn't make it work, and Brittany and Yazan's relationship came to an end.
Yazan revealed on an episode of "90 Day: Bares All" that he has since gotten married to a woman named Leena in Jordan, while Brittany returned to the TLC franchise for their spinoff "90 Day: The Single Life." Now that Brittany doesn't have to face the wrath of Yazan's family over her Instagram photos, she's also talked about getting plastic surgery since their split. According to InTouch, the star shared her journey began when she was younger after having an "emergency reduction" because she had a natural F cup which was causing "unbearable back pain."
Admitting that the doctor had "botched" the surgery, she later got a boob job that left her with scars. The star shared that she had finally achieved her desired look after undergoing a "breast lift, implant exchange, scar revision, and an internal mesh bra."
Natalie Mordovtseva
If there was one couple on the "90 Day Fiance" franchise that constantly made viewers cringe, it was Ukrainian-born Natalie Mordovtseva and Mike Youngquist. The pair were doomed from the start, with accusations of infidelity, religious differences, and Natalie's tense relationship with Mike's mother complicating things left and right.
Before their falling-out, Natalie underwent surgery, which many assumed was rhinoplasty. However, on the show (via InTouch), she revealed it was a procedure to remove polyps in her nose because she'd had trouble breathing. Natalie also opened up about other cosmetic procedures while on the Season 8 tell-all, noting that she had gotten lip fillers and "laser lipo" on her "chin, stomach, and waist," per InTouch.
Natalie and Mike have parted ways, with the former on the hunt for a new love interest: In October 2021, Us Weekly revealed that she would be part of the Season 2 cast of "90 Day: The Single Life." Mike has also moved on, and, as his Instagram account indicates, seems to enjoy being outdoors, visiting museums and aquariums, and hanging out with friends.
Yara Zaya
On Season 8 of "90 Day Fiance," Yara Zaya moved from Ukraine to the US to be with New Orleans native Jovi Dufren, later giving birth to daughter Mylah. The couple faced a few setbacks in their relationship, such as Yara's dislike of living in the Louisiana city and the fact that Jovi did not want to let go of his partying lifestyle. However, they are still married as of this writing, with Jovi sharing photos on Instagram of the family of three traveling around the US with their daughter and even staying safe from a disastrous hurricane that hit his home state.
While the reality star couple seems to be doing well, fans have questioned Yara's looks since appearing on the show. As noted by ScreenRant, when photos of a pre-"90 Day Fiance" Yara surfaced on social media, some fans speculated that she'd gotten a boob job, Botox, and more. At the Season 8 tell-all (via Us Weekly), the star did share that she's gotten a nose job and her lips done. "If somebody don't like something on themselves, change it," she explained. "And I had an issue, like, my nose is potato. So let me do something to that. Four years ago, I was doing my lips too." While some stars may not be as candid about getting work done, Yara doesn't feel like it's something she has to hide. As she said at the post-season special, "I don't see nothing wrong with that."
