Zoe Saldana Reacts To Britney Spears' Baby Announcement Slip

Zoe Saldana is lot more easygoing than other women—at least when it comes to pregnancy announcements.

The Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) star visited Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on May 4, 2017 and talked about the time Britney Spears stole her thunder. During the show, a viewer called in with a question about the actress' 2014 pregnancy. "I read that Britney Spears was the one who announced you were having twins before you even announced it," the caller asked. "Is that true? Did she apologize?"

"It's so true," Saldana, 38, responded.

After being seen with Saldana at LAX, Spears was asked in an interview with Entertainment Tonight if she'd ever work with her former Crossroads (2002) co-star again. Spears replied, "Who knows? That's a very good idea. But she's pregnant with twins right now. So I'm sure she's got a huge future ahead of her."

But don't worry: Saldana does not harbor any ill will toward the iconic pop singer.

"Literally, the way that it happened was so innocent that I never even thought of holding her accountable to anything," explained Saldana, who's since had a third child with husband Marco Perego. "We were on the same flight from L.A. to New York and we just talked for the duration of the flight. She has two boys. I was having twins. We had such a beautiful talk—and I forgot. It never even occurred to me to tell her not to say anything."

Saldana continued, "We weren't trying to hide it; we were just trying to be discreet. And then when she disclosed it, she was just being Britney. I don't mean that in a negative way. I mean that in the way that she lives her life in such truth."

So, has Saldana ever spoken with Spears about the accidental announcement? "I haven't seen her since," Saldana said, adding that she's "pretty sure" they'll talk about it in the future.
