Who Is Angie Harrington From The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City?
While many Housewives would consider being cast as a "friend of" quite the downgrade, stans of Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise know all too well that many of these supporting cast members have actually been known to steal the show in more ways than one. Lest we forget "the morally corrupt" Faye Resnick, the indomitable Marlo Hampton, or the newest queen bee of them all Mrs. Kathy Hilton, who launched a thousand belly laughs when she earnestly uttered the famous line, "Who is Hunky Dory?"
Now joining the ranks of the many "friends of" to come before her is lifestyle blogger and influencer Angie Harrington on "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City." Along with serving up hors d'oeuvres at posh parties, she's also well versed in stirring a big ol' pot of drama for Housewives viewers to enjoy. Keep reading after the jump to learn everything we know about the B-list RHOSLC cast member serving up some grade-A drama!
Angie Harrington is not Mormon
Angie Harrington may moonlight as a "friend of" on "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" but during the day she's just your average mom and career woman. During an interview with The Newsette, Angie spoke candidly about her fashion and beauty blog "The Fashion Fuse," the goal of which is to "help others to look and feel their best to become their best at any price point." But when it's quitting time for the influencer she quickly switches into mom mode. "I try to get most of my blog/styling work done by 3pm, and after the kids go to bed, so that I am available to my children," she explained about her work-life balance.
Another fun fact about the Salt Lake City resident is that she is in fact, not Mormon — some of which has to do with her transgender child. "Having a transgender child in the Mormon community has not been acceptable," Angie opened up on an episode of the famous Bravo show (via The Salt Lake Tribune). "I will say the Mormon community is making strides to understand... As of now, I am not Mormon," Angie added, "and my husband and I are kind of like — until (members of the LGBTQ+ community) have the same rights that the rest of us have, we don't know if it works for us."
Alas, there's much, much more than meets the eye to this "friend of."
Angie Harrington's friendships are being tested on RHOSLC
"Friend of" Angie Harrington first burst on to the scene in Season 2 of "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" as a longtime friend of entrepreneur Lisa Barlow, but it doesn't appear they'll be finishing out the season quite as chummy.
During episode four, Angie — who also happens to be cast member Whitney Rose's distant cousin — takes it upon herself to host a casino-themed fundraiser to raise money for LGBTQ youth. Curiously enough, however, mere hours after Angie told Lisa that she was hanging out with her cousin and Lisa's sworn enemy, Whitney, the caterer for Angie's charity event pulls out. While some could make the argument that none of those women had any intentions of actually eating the food anyway, Angie is perturbed all the same and is convinced that Lisa is somehow behind the debacle. Cue the drama!
After engaging in an on-camera squabble which eventually led to Lisa hightailing it out of Angie's event, it appears that the friendship is what a teenaged Kristin Cavallari would refer to as "dunzo." "That is the most ridiculous accusation I've ever had, and absolutely not," Lisa told Entertainment Tonight during a virtual interview. "Never would I ever cancel somebody's caterer, nor would I even think to do that. It was the most bizarre thing I've ever been accused of." We'll just have to see how this plays out at the Season 2 reunion.
