Inside Adam Devine's Relationship With Chloe Bridges
Like so many Hollywood romances, the real-life relationship between actors Adam Devine and Chloe Bridges started on the set. Divine, best known for co-creating and starring on "Workaholics," and Bridges, his co-star in "The Finale Girls," started dating in 2015, the same year their film debuted, per Page Six.
Just four years later in October 2019, the two got engaged. The couple must be fans of the month, as on October 10, Devine and Bridges held a small wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with appearances from their various co-stars throughout the years. The nuptials came on the heels of Bridges' bachelorette party in August, with the actor gushing to Us Weekly about how the bash got her even "more excited" for the big day.
As you'll find out, the road to this happy occasion wasn't always smooth, but Devine and Bridges were able to weather the issues thanks to their solid foundation as a couple.
Adam and Chloe's wedding planning hit some bumps
Like many newly married couples who tied the knot amid the pandemic, actors Adam Devine and Chloe Bridges had a few hiccups in making it down the aisle. "Were we crazy for trying to plan a wedding during a global pandemic?? Probably, yeah, cause many, many things went wrong including but not limited to us both getting breakthrough covid," Bridges revealed in a pre-wedding Instagram caption, alongside images of her in various gorgeous wedding gowns.
Of course, everything worked out in the end, and now the two can relax. Speaking of relaxation, are there are any plans for a honeymoon? That's TBD as of this writing, but let's just say their post-wedding life won't be calm for too long, as they both have busy careers. Devine is set to appear in Peacock's "Pitch Perfect" mini TV series, which just got the green light in September, per Variety. As for Bridges, she wrapped up filming Hallmark's "Love for Real" in July, and it probably won't be long before she's back in front of the camera.
But no matter what is next for these two, it's clear they'll remain solid as a couple due to them perfecting the art of communication.
Chloe and Adam's communication is amazing
During an interview with Us Weekly in 2020, Chloe Bridges opened up about her relationship with former co-star Adam Devine. Specifically, she spoke to how disagreements made their relationship stronger — leading to an engagement and their recent eventual (adorbs) wedding.
"I don't know if this is too personal, but the moment I knew he was The One was actually during a disagreement we had early in our relationship. He said something along the lines of, 'We got to figure it out, because breaking up is not an option,'" Bridges said. "I was like, 'Wow, I really respect that.' I think that's an attitude he got from his parents' successful marriage. No matter what happens, you stick it out. You figure it out."
Devine also returned the positive words, posting to Instagram after the couple began celebrating their engagement in 2019. "I love Chloe more than anything and I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with her amazing self. You are my best friend and I'm thrilled you want to get old and wrinkly with me!" he captioned the post. These two are sweet!
