Hunter Biden's Scandalous Relationship History Explained
In 2019, Hunter Biden sent papa/future POTUS Joe Biden this scathing text: "Your team just made me the uncontrollable troubled tax cheat philanderer sex and drug addict that you tried so hard to fix but couldn't. They just totally wrote my life away." This angry missive was discovered in a trove of deleterious documents on one of Hunter's many missing laptops, via Daily Mail.
But when Hunter is being honest with Hunter, the scandals are real: "I spent more time on my hands and knees picking through rugs, smoking anything that even remotely resembled crack cocaine," Biden told CBS News in 2021, adding this plausible detail: "I probably smoked more Parmesan cheese than anyone that you know."
Joe's youngest boy has been the black sheep since getting kicked out of the Navy for cocaine use in 2014, according to The Wall Street Journal. In a series of tell-alls, Hunter has opened up about his substance issues, his infidelity, even his affair with the grieving widow of his own dead brother. The Yale-educated attorney has also earned millions in his possibly criminal career, but according to his ex-wife, he squandered it all in a haze of sex and drugs. In 2021, a telling photo emerged of Hunter's teeth, filed down or decayed from crack abuse. Another features Hunter, a fist full of ponytail, the woman's face thankfully blurred. But in 2019, Hunter Biden met his second wife. He says she saved him from scandal and sadness. Here's hoping that's true.
Hunter Biden's alleged sex worker spending spree
Republicans really don't have a lot of love for Hunter Biden. His name and sordid past were a constant talking point as his dad tried to fend off Donald Trump's attacks in the 2020 election. But in another way, the right side of the aisle loves Joe Biden's wayward youngest son. He's an endless well of easily discoverable opposition research, having lost three computers full of kompromat – as Russian intelligence would put it.
In 2020, Senate Republicans came out swinging with a monstrous 87-page report claiming Hunter had spent thousands on sex workers trafficked by a shady network in eastern Europe. The full report makes three-ish key claims, via Daily Mail: "Hunter Biden sent thousands of dollars to individuals who have either: 1) been involved in transactions consistent with possible human trafficking; 2) an association with the adult entertainment industry; or 3) potential association with [sex work]."
The Republican committee claimed they were trying to tease out possible "extortion threats" that could compromise the Biden administration. Anyone who follows politics might imagine a slightly different motivation: Democrats had just spent four years ginning up claims Trump was a Russian stooge – as indictment late revealed, a possible Clinton campaign opp. Likewise, the proof for the charges against Hunter are "unspecified," notes the New York Post. True or not, Republicans definitely served some revenge in the seemingly endless D.C. parlor game of claiming the other party has gone full-on Manchurian candidate.
Hunter Biden's sordid sex tape confessions
What would possess a man to set up his laptop and record of video of himself, naked, in a hotel room, with a sex worker, telling her all about yet another lost laptop full of yet more gigs of "crazy sex?"
That's exactly what Hunter Biden did. In 2021, Daily Mail obtained the shocking video, filmed in 2019, from one of Biden's three (yes, three!) missing laptops. Biden and the anonymous sex worker finish their official business, but Hunter keeps the camera rolling. He then pours out his heart about a Las Vegas sex and drug bender in 2018 in which he spent, "18 days going ... from penthouse suite to penthouse suite." By Hunter's math, he "spent f***ing crazy amounts of money," nearly $200,000 he tells the woman.
Biden says he nearly overdosed on drugs. As he was coming in and out of consciousness he saw a group of Russian drug dealers – perhaps as a part of a "foreign intelligence operation" notes Daily Mail – "frantically running round gathering things." Hunter tells the sex worker his father is running for president and he fears blackmail. Biden brags his Russian pals well know, "I make like a gazillion dollars." The sex worker then chimes with her two cents, clearly knowledgeable about the economics, if not the optics, of the celebrity sex tape genre: "I think you should just beat him to the punch. I think you should release your own video."
Hunter Biden's baby mama
Hunter Biden's partying is not limited to Las Vegas of course. Biden has been working as a Washington lobbyist, and doing well, almost since he graduated from Yale in 1996. One of the first boy's favorite hot spots has been the Mpire Club in the capital's Dupont Circle neighborhood. It was there he met an exotic dancer named Landen Alexi Roberts, according to Page Six, working under the stage name "Dallas."
Hunter was married at the time. (More on that later.) He told The New Yorker he hadn't been to a strip club in years, but after yet another of his affairs was revealed in 2017 (more on that later too) Hunter admits he went full send: "I went directly to a strip club," he admits. "I said, 'F**k them."
It's not clear when exactly Hunter struck up the relationship with Roberts but by 2018 she was filing a petition claiming Biden was the father of her newborn child. The son of POTUS 46 denied paternity but agreed to take a test to clear his name. That plan hit a snag when it was confirmed with "scientific certainty," notes the Arkansas Democratic Gazette, that Hunter was indeed the father. Biden then dodged his court-ordered mandates both to appear and to file the necessary financial documents in the child support fight that ensued, according to Page Six. The lovers finally came to a settlement in 2020 that included retroactive payments, according to Courthouse News Service.
Hunter Biden's cheating and crack use broke up his marriage
Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle were married in 1993 and have three children together, all daughters. But the relationship ended in scandal; Biden's drug use and infidelity outraging his now-estranged former spouse. They separated in 2015.
Kathleen hit Hunter hard during their contentious 2017 divorce, alleging her ex had wantonly, "blown money on [sex workers], strip clubs, and drugs," according to Vanity Fair. She described his spending as extravagant, which included lavish "gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations," records the AP. She says his lack of thrift left her and the children, "with no funds to pay legitimate bills."
Kathleen also refused to spare Hunter when it came to their kids, saying his, "conduct creates situations that are unsafe or traumatic for the parties' children," according to Page Six. Hunter told The New Yorker the couple's serious issues started in 2015 when Kathleen kicked him out of the house for his failure to stay sober. His drug use and infidelity only escalated. By 2017, Kathleen was demanding full custody of their one remaining minor child, according to Page Six. She also sought to put her ex's spending on ice, asking the court to limit Hunter's allowance to a mere $5,000 a month while asking for $20,000 monthly for herself and the kids. The couple finalized their divorce with a confidential agreement, a judge determining there was "no reasonable prospect of reconciliation of the parties."
Hunter Biden's affair with his dead brother's widow
In 2017, POTUS-to-be Joe Biden was minding his own business when a reporter from Page Six called for comment about Hunter having an affair with the wife of Joe's deceased son Beau Biden. That's according to Hunter Biden himself in his incredibly candid interview with The New Yorker in 2019.
Beau Biden died of cancer in 2015 at only 46, according to The Washington Post. Two years later Hunter's wife Kathleen was scrolling through her iPad when she found suggestive texts between Hunter and Beau's widow Hallie, according to Hunter's memoir "Beautiful Things," for which he was paid $2 million, says The Sun. "The book admits that this was the final straw for Kathleen," according to a publishing-house insider. "She'd tried for years to help him beat his addiction to crack cocaine and booze. But then she found out he was sleeping with his brother's wife. She said he was a sicko."
Hunter and Hallie first hooked up after one of his particularly bad crack binges. When Hunter finally checked into an Arizona rehab center, Hallie flew to meet him and the two hit up a nearby resort and became an official item. Disturbingly, Hunter even tried to get Joe's blessing. No such luck. At least publicly. The relationship was on and off until 2019 while Hunter's drug habit spiraled. "I never slept ... Day bled into night," Hunter writes, via USA Today. "I was smoking crack every 15 minutes."
Hunter and Hallie's 'bizarre' lost gun incident
Hunter Biden's relationship with the widow of his dead brother Beau wasn't some dalliance. The two truly bonded. "I think people were confused by it and I understand that," Biden told CBS News. "To me, it's not something that is difficult to explain because it came out of a real overwhelming grief that we both shared ... And that grief turned into a hope for a love that maybe could replace what we lost, and it didn't work."
The couple was so close, they might've even covered up a crime together, according to Politico. In 2018, for "unspecified reasons," Hallie swiped a handgun from her lover's truck and threw it in a trash can behind a grocery store. Perhaps realizing this wasn't a sane method of sidearm disposal, Hallie returned, but the gun was gone.
Delaware police got involved. The trash can was across the street from a high school and cops were concerned, "the missing gun could be used in a crime." That's when what looks like a cover-up went down. Secret service agents showed up at the store where Biden had bought the gun and tried to take the paperwork that proved the sale. The store's owner, knowing his rights, refused, but later turned over the receipts to the ATF. The gun itself had been recovered by a local man known for rummaging refuse and no charges were filed. Joe Biden's press staff denied any knowledge of the odd event.
Hunter Biden's Ashley Madison association
Ashley Madison isn't some other grieving family widow Hunter Biden had an affair with. It's a dating website specifically designed for post-matrimonial monkey businesses. "Life is short, have an affair," reads the trademarked slogan prominently featured on the "adultery: non-spousal intercourse" section of the brand's dot com. The page is a literal TED Talk transcript of talking points arguing monogamy isn't natural among primates like us. "Why would so many risk their reputations, families, careers – even presidential legacies – for something that runs against human nature?"
In 2015, the login information of some 32 million Ashley Madison users was leaked by hackers, according to Wired, including reams of credit card data. Breitbart noticed an account listed under "Robert" Biden, Hunter's legal first name, and an associated email Hunter confirmed belonged to him. The supposed Biden profile, created while Hunter was married in 2014, described itself as being for an "attached male," seeking an "anything goes" relationship.
Hunter, perhaps predictably, made the now-familiar claim this was all a devious Russian ruse. His reps alleged, "on background," maybe Vladimir Putin didn't like his board seat with Burisma, a Ukrainian oil company paying him big bucks. They also noted Hunter had been the victim of many hack attempts, including an attack on his Twitter. "I am certain that the account in question is not mine," Biden told Breitbart. "This is unfortunately not the first time that someone has used my name and identity to try to discredit me."
Hunter Biden married again six days after meeting Melissa Cohen
In 2019, Hunter Biden was hitched again. This time it was to a South African "blonde beauty" named Melissa Cohen. The couple were betrothed in a secret ceremony by an "L.A. minister who runs an instant marriage company." The nuptials came just six days after they met, Hunter told ABC News. The ceremony was performed in Cohen's apartment. Neither Melissa's family nor the Biden clan was present. The wedding photos were taken on a cellphone.
Hunter's new bride was 32 and previously married. "She has liberal sympathies and is a devout Jew, coming from a tight-knit family," writes The Sun. The bombshell had also "expressed anti-Trump sentiments on her Facebook page," and given a "like" to Joe Biden's 2020 campaign page. Cohen is a documentary filmmaker and activist who co-owns a company called Tribal Worlds that seeks to "promote indigenous conservation," according to The Washington Post. She's extremely outspoken, condemning all Trump voters after the 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, writing, "To those of you who voted for this POS, you should be ashamed. That's all."
The smitten couple also got matching tattoos. "I instantly fell in love with her. And then I've fallen in love with her more every day," Hunter gushed. Despite the scandals surrounding Biden, Melissa was equally enthusiastic. "I'm gonna be in the honeymoon phase for a very long time ... Things have not been easy externally, but internally things have been amazing."
