The Truth About NCIS Star Brian Dietzen's Marriage
"NCIS" kicked off Season 19 with a tumultuous start, with Special Agent Jacqueline "Jack" Sloane, played by Maria Bello, and Special Agent Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop, played by Emily Wickersham, leaving the series, according to Parade. In less intense news, Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon, won't appear as often during the season as he had in the past, though thankfully, he isn't leaving the show.
"NCIS" has had an epic run and it doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. With some of the departures of familiar faces, the show has brought on some new recruits. Special Agent Jessica Knight, played by Katrina Law, is coming in strong for Season 19, after appearing briefly at the end of the previous season. We'll also see a lot more of Gary Cole, who will be playing the character FBI Special Agent Alden Park. You win some, you lose some and these are some great new additions.
One of our favorites, Dr. Jimmy Palmer is played by Brian Dietzen. While we know all about his character, we're dying to know more about him, specifically his marriage. Here's that story.
Brian Dietzen has been married for over 20 years
Brian Dietzen has been on "NCIS" since its first season, where he played an assistant medical examiner, per Express. And while we know a whole lot more about his character than we do about the real man, we did learn that he's been married to his wife, Kelly Dietzen, for over 20 years.
The duo met at a party in 2000 and hit it off, per the outlet. They married in 2004 and share two children. In fact, Brian seems to love incorporating dad life into his Twitter posts, with one charming example: "#Grammys fun fact: When Cardi B performs WAP, it's even more entertaining to watch your teenage kids squirm. Loving it." He added the hashtag #DadWin.
Family life is clearly Brian's primary identity, since he added in his Twitter bio: "Also, I'm a husband, a dad and a Cubs fan." Priorities! While Kelly is extremely private, we do get to see glimpses of her on Brian's social media.
Brian Dietzen's sweet tributes to his wife
Kelly Dietzen works as a midwife, according to Express, and the couple is raising their kids in Los Angeles. While Brian Dietzen seems to keep his Twitter page devoted to "NCIS" material and being a dad, Kelly does appear frequently on his Instagram feed.
During early 2021, Brian posted a sweet photo of himself and his wife snuggling up during a hike, with the caption, "First hiatus hike was in Big Bear with the best person I know. Here's to many, many more. Love you Kel." On Valentine's Day, Brian posted a shot of the pair on the beach, wearing masks. "Happy Valentine's Day to my [heart emoji]. Love you Kel. So glad my journey is with you," he wrote.
Honestly, it seems like Brian can't stop posting adorable pictures of him and his wife. In another beach shot, where they sat together, he reminisced about the challenging year everyone had and said, "2020 has presented us with so many challenges and so much division. I hope we can each still enjoy our moments of bliss whenever they present themselves. Love you Kel." While Kelly might be a very private person, we've at least seen enough to know that they are still very much in love.
