The Truth About Kim Kardashian And Maluma

It was only a matter of time before speculation about Kim Kardashian being back in the dating game after her split with Kanye West got started. It was confirmed by TMZ in February that the mom of four and the rapper were going their separate ways after around seven years of marriage, with Kim being the one to file.

Kim and West endured months of rumors their relationship was on the rocks before that, with some reports claiming the two weren't on the best terms for a while before going their separate ways. However, that all appears to have changed, with People claiming Kim and her estranged husband were on better terms by August. "Kim and Kanye have a friendly relationship. It's always been important to Kim to have a good relationship with Kanye. They are not getting back together though," a source said after the two were spotted together at lunch.

Kim appeared to confirm that later that month when she showed up at one of Kanye's shows in a wedding dress as part of a "Donda" album event, which had some fans speculating a reconciliation on the cards.

Kim hasn't confirmed if she's dating anyone new in the wake of the divorce heard around the world, though she has been linked to a couple of famous faces since the divorce bombshell dropped — paging CNN's Van Jones and musician Maluma!

And now it's the Colombian superstar's turn to speak out about all that dating speculation...

Maluma had something say about rumors he's dating Kim Kardashian

For all those trying to make Malumashian (that's Maluma and Kardashian, by the way) happen, we have some bad news for you. Maluma broke his silence on those swirling rumors that something romantic could have been going on between himself and Kim Kardashian to L'Officiel, making it pretty clear he's not dating the mom of four.

"I don't even know! Right? We were together at the Dior show. I met her for the first time there," he told the outlet when asked how the rumors first began, admitting that Kim's sister, Kourtney Kardashian, was also at the event — the Dior Men's Fall 2020 Runway Show in Miami, Florida — which took place in December 2019. "People just started talking about it. I don't know why they started asking her that. Maybe because she was getting her divorce and everything, you know?" he added.

But while there's nothing romantic going on here, Jennifer Lopez's collaborator added, "We are good friends. We don't talk that often, but yeah, we are good friends and we always wish the best for each other." Cute!

It's not clear how the rumors got such traction after just one meeting, but the rumor mill could have been fueled by the fact Maluma already has an in with the K family. Just this past May, Kourtney's baby daddy, Scott Disick, shared a snap on Instagram of himself and Maluma alongside the caption, "Missin miami."

What did Kim Kardashian have to say about the Maluma dating rumors?

While this seems to be the first time Maluma has spoken out explicitly about the Kim Kardashian dating rumors, she previously addressed all the speculation with Andy Cohen during the second part of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" reunion, which aired in June.

Kim pulled the plug on the Maluma and Van Jones rumors at the same time, telling Cohen with a laugh of reports she was seeing Jones, "Van texted me and was like, 'This rumor has gotten me so many dates, and I am so grateful.'" She then added, "No. I'm not dating either one. Not Van Jones, not Maluma. I've known [Maluma]. I've seen him a few times, always in Miami. Such a nice guy."

As for who we should expect to see Kim with when she does get back into the dating game? Well, she admitted we could see her with someone a little unexpected next. "What I was looking for and who I was years ago, was completely different than who I am today," she admitted to Cohen. "Just someone that would understand what this life is about, though. I value privacy, and I just want something that's, like, really real."

So there we have it. Be "really real" if you're looking to catch Kim's eye!
