Everything We Know About Teyana Taylor's Farewell Tour
Teyana Taylor is a woman of many talents. She's a singer, dancer, actor, and model. However, the entertainer recently announced that she's ready to give up her music career for good. On December 4, 2020, the "Gonna Love Me" hitmaker took to Instagram to share her end of the year Spotify stats. Despite more than 162 million streams within one year, Taylor admitted she felt "underappreciated" and was receiving "little to no real push" from the "machine." Therefore, Taylor announced she would be hanging up her microphone for good.
Unsurprisingly, the news made headlines and caught the attention of many, including music icon Janet Jackson. While honoring Taylor on her 30th birthday, Jackson shared a snapshot of the pair on Instagram and tried to reassure Taylor to not quit. "Teyana, you have an undeniable gift from God. Don't ever let that go. You bring something so special to the industry and you continue to have such an impact on this world," Jackson wrote. "Imagine if I gave up after my first or second album didn't hit #1, or win any awards? We do this for the love, the passion and the fans."
It's been nearly a year since Taylor vowed to quit making music and it seems she's sticking to her guns. Keep reading to find out more.
