Erika Girardi's Attorney Makes Bold Claim About Bethenny Frankel
Bethenny Frankel is at the center of "Real Housewives" drama...again. "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Erika Jayne's attorney, Evan Borges, had harsh words about Bethenny, who never seems far from controversy. To review every time the Skinnygirl mogul has dipped her toes into public controversies would take hours, but here's one example of her less-than-nurturing tweets from earlier in 2021.
Before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's tell-all interview with Oprah, Bethenny made her feelings about the former "Suits" star turned duchess. According to US Weekly, Bethenny tweeted: "Cry me a river. The plight of being a game show host, fairly unknown actress, to suffering in a palace, w tiaras & 7 figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to being a household name." Ouch.
The former "Real Housewives of New York" star later apologized for her Meghan Markle outburst, tweeting: "I watched M & H sit down. Emotional distress & racism must feel suffocating & powerless. I'm a polarizing, unfiltered (often to a fault) flawed person w a voice. When I heard of the interview, during a pandemic, it felt like a surprising choice. I'm sorry if it hurt or offended you." Bethenny owns her communication skills (or lack of communication skills), but if you want to know what Erika's attorney said about Bethenny, keep reading.
Erika Jayne's attorney says Bethenny Frankel is trying to "throw dirt on" his client
Evan Borges, Erika Jayne's attorney, told Page Six that Bethenny Frankel is trying to "throw dirt on" his client by bringing up Tom Girardi's old debts. Borges told Page Six, "Erika has no knowledge of the alleged loans or the conversations referred to by Ms. Frankel...this is another example of people trying to throw dirt on Erika based on alleged conversations." But team Bethenny told the outlet that her comments about Erika's former husband had nothing to do with the "RHOBH" star.
A source close to Bethenny told Page Six, "If you listen to 'Just B with Bethenny,' she compliments Erika. This is about Tom and the deception he perpetuated throughout the legal industry, which was widely known for years."
The Skinnygirl CEO dropped a bomb about Girardi on her podcast "Just B With Bethenny Frankel." Bethenny spilled that Tom allegedly owed her now deceased friend Dennis Shields $500,000 and said his "financial mismanagement was the 'worst-kept secret' in Los Angeles lawyers' circles," Page Six reported. Bethenny clarified her podcast comments on September 16, tweeting, "I have a good rapport w @erikajayne & respect her work ethic. The pod wasn't about her as I don't speak on what I don't know @justbpodcast."
