Unpolished Season 3 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

A year before Kris Jenner announced that "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" would be ending, TLC decided they would go ahead and introduce a new reality TV family to audiences with "Unpolished." The show debuted in November 2019 and follows Jen Martone, the matriarch of the family, as she manages the family's beauty business alongside daughters, Lexi and Bria Martone. The Martone Salon also features Grandma Eleanor Varuzzi, known as "Foxy," who works as a part time-stylist, according to the New York Post.

The first season of the show served as an introduction to the Martone family, with a focus on how Lexi became one of the best nail artists in her city. Viewers also got a look into the dynamics between her and Bria, as well as how they run the family business while dealing with relationship drama (via TV Tango).

The second season, which premiered in January, documented the struggles the Martone family faced with the business during the pandemic and the sudden passing of their patriarch, Big Mike Martone (via The Futon Critic). With "Unpolished" having aired the last episode of Season 2 in March, fans have been wondering when they can see the Martone family on-screen again. Luckily for them, we've got the scoop about a potential Season 3 below.

As of this writing, TLC has not announced a release date for a third season of "Unpolished." However, TheCinemaholic reports that Season 3 will most likely be greenlit, due to the show's popularity and good ratings.

The outlet noted that the second season was delayed several months in 2020 and only began filming in June of that year, after lockdown restrictions were lifted. Prior to that, "Unpolished" was filmed for seven to eight months before it was handed off to post-production. Based on that time frame, fans of "Unpolished" can expect the show to return sometime in early 2022.

Although a third season looks incredibly likely, the wait has gotten to fans who took to Twitter to voice their need for another season. "Need a season 3. Binge watching Season 2," one user wrote, while another tweeted at the network directly: "@TLC when will we be getting a Season 3 of #unpolished me and mum binged watched all the episodes and want more please."

When and if "Unpolished" returns for a third season, fans can expect to see more of the Martone family, the salon employees, and their clientele. Lexi Martone — the Kim K of the series, if you will — will likely be heavily featured for her over-the-top nail designs, whereas her sister Bria Martone Mancuso, as well as her now-husband, Matt Mancuso, will look to strengthen their relationship after marriage. Of course, we'll also see Jen Martone and Foxy, who manages the front desk and works at the salon, respectively, get into drama themselves, per TheCinemaholic.

Meaww reported that there might also be a new addition to the cast. Rumor has it that Lexi has been dating a member of the U.S. military, Brian Perez, so he might make a few appearances on the show in Season 3 when/if TLC announces its return in the upcoming months. Even if the romance rumors are fake, the show could also potentially explore Lexi's dating adventures.

According to Meaww, fans would like to see more of Lexi Martone's love life in Season 3 of "Unpolished." Considering that she has been linked to Brian Perez of the U.S. military, TLC will have plenty of material to work with if it renews the show. The salon will no doubt be the core setting of the show, as Lexi continues her journey to becoming the greatest nail artist in Long Island, while Bria continues to do blowouts for her clients.
